I really don't like leaving a bad review, but I truly felt others should be warned and the salon should take full ownership instead of continuously defending the stylist that completely butchered my hair.
My experience and the result was devastating from start to finish for several diff reasons.
I came in with virgin hair I spent 3 yrs growing. My 1st visit I Asked to go a natural red & explained the issues I'm having with my hair postpartum & asked for a cut that would help my hair appear fuller with a volumized blowout. I booked with Heidi who I was told was the most experienced & the highest level stylist they have. To her credit she was kind. But she did not listen to my needs, and she had NO knowledge of the products she was trying to sell me after each app. I had to literally read to her what the products were and show her that it was not what she was saying it was or for my hair type. She apologized and said she had been selling that product to ppl as something that it wasn't & thanked me.
Despite asking to keep my hair looking thick/full as possible bc I'm dealing with thinning/ hair loss, she thinned out parts of my hair w scissors W out asking! The color wasn't exactly what I wanted but I wasn't upset w it & they said reds were hard & theyd tweak it nxt time.
2nd & last app is where things took a turn for the worst... Came for a root touch up & said that the color was darker than I wanted & I'd like to be a lighter red. I verbatim said "I do NOT want blonde streaks in my hair or anything crazy like that. I want my hair to look NATURAL, Just an overall lighter red." She said ok that she would lighten it up and then proceeded to CUT MY HAIR without asking me! She pretty much gave me a mullet and chopped all my length off!đ As soon as she started cutting, I was confused & she said I'm just gonna give a little trim I know you wanna keep your length" I trusted her & I shouldn't have! She CHOPPED MY HAIR!!!!! W out asking AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO TRY AND CHARGE ME FOR IT.
Then she proceeded to BLEACH HIGHLIGHT my entire head leaving me w chunky blonde streaks which caused me to break down crying after 4-5 hrs of siting through the service which should've never been performed in the 1st place. Not only did it look awful but she damaged my hair!! It took her and 2-3 other stylists to put an all over color over it to cover it up. Megan was extremely helpful/professional in helping with that. The front desk (Julie I think?) did come over and try to accommodate me offering me coffee/cookies, and took the haircut/highlight charge off but she also kept defending the stylist and her work unprovoked and trying to sell me on heidis expertise which was inappropriate and a slap in the face after my hair was straight up butchered. I felt bad for Heidi that I was so upset bc it's an awkward situation! I left just happy that my hair color was atleast acceptable to walk out with. But I was so focused on the color catastrophe that I didn't even notice my haircut until then which caused me to cry all the way home.
I've since Called the salon to talk w them about this & their solution was to come in to talk w the owner and possibly cut the back of my hair to match the front Or try to thin out parts to make it blend, which was absolutely out of the question for because I was not cutting ANY more length off of my hair And do not want my hair thinned even more than it already was by Heidi. Tbh, the only way this would have been fixed in a way that's acceptable was to have hair extensions put in the front and my color permanently fixed because four weeks later the color faded & the highlights are now showing through again & it looks so embarrassing that I have to wear my hair up every day! I should have also received ongoing services to rehydrate my hair after she did a full foiled bleach on my healthy hair! I was only offered 1 deep condition. I've decided not to go back to the salon bc I'm traumatized by the experience and I feel the salon doesn't truly realize the depths of the mistakes. There's more, but I'm...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I went in wanting a major change and explained to the stylist that my roots turn white quickly, so I wanted to go blonde to make the regrowth less noticeable. I even showed a picture of what I wanted, and the stylist took a photo of my hair before starting, so I thought they understood.
After spending four hours in the chair, I expected a noticeable transformation, but that didnât happen. Instead of fully lightening my hair, the stylist kept my roots the same brown color and only added a little blonde to the front and top. It was nothing like what I asked for. When I saw the before and after pictures, even the stylist could tell I wasnât happy.
I also got a face wax and a small haircut, but when the main thing youâre excited about doesnât turn out the way you expected, everything else feels unimportant. No matter how good the other services were, I left the salon feeling disappointed.
If they couldnât achieve the look I wanted, they should have been honest from the beginning instead of wasting my time and money. I still tipped out of respect for their effort, but the result was not worth the cost.
I found this salon through Instagram, but now I know you canât always trust the photos they post. Sadly, I wonât be coming back, and I donât recommend this place for anyone looking for a real hair transformation.
Hi Karri,
Thank you for reaching out. I appreciate that your team takes customer feedback seriously. However, at this point, I do not wish to have my hair corrected immediately, as I am concerned about potential damage from further processing so soon after my recent color treatment.
I had high expectations when I visited your salon, especially given the time and money I invested. Unfortunately, the result was not what I requested, and I was disappointed. I wish there had been more transparency from the beginning regarding whether my desired look could be achieved.
I wonât be returning for a correction, but I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for...
Read moreI really dislike writing negative reviews but after a lot of thought I feel it's only fair. Any place who charges as much as they do should guarantee their service is worthy. The one good thing about the experience I will say is the stylist was very sweet. Now to the substance: I didn't like the way my hair was styled but she had thinned it out a lot which is what I'd wanted so it felt good but it was hard to tell about the cut. I figured I'd give it some time, style it myself and see how it grew out. It went from bad to worse. It reminds me of how I wore my hair in the 80s! It's safe to say she was a protege level stylist though I requested a master or senior level. It's been over a month now and Im realizing I need to have someone fix this whack job. The worst part is that it was WAY overpriced - $85 min. +tip. I have rarely paid that much for a cut except in very high end places who actually delivered on their services. Not Lee Graves Salon. So if you have lots of money to throw away and like the 1980s hair styles you're in luck! This is the...
