Milk n Tea — Restaurant in Plano

I used to love coming here but I feel like it’s not worth the trip anymore. I always get the passion fruit mango tea but the past couple times I’ve been in it tastes off and the mango pieces in the drink are either too large to fit in the straw or it’s minced so small it’s almost hard and crunchy. It also smells bad the shop, not sure if it’s the sewer in that area of the mall or if something isn’t clean but it’s very off putting. The prices have risen drastically and I could easily go somewhere else and get the same product for 2/3rds or even half the price. The employee who helped me the last time I came in was very sweet but there was a man I’d never seen before who I assume is the manager or the owner who was rude to her and didn’t acknowledge me. Start off by saying I really want to support malls and the shops inside. So I wish I could rate this higher! I ordered a medium taro milk tea (50% sweet, less ice), and also asked for a cup of water. PROS: Service was very friendly, they even took the time to ask if the sweetness adjustment was good. CONS: While the drink sweetness was a good level, the overall flavor left much to be desired. My first reaction was it seemed "thin," which I later realized to just be watery. And the boba pearls were a little chewy for me (vs being soft). This was on the pricey side for a medium milk tea drink, and in hindsight I would have been better finding one of the asian chains, both for price and taste. I went with my dad a brother to get boba at first everything was fine we had all ordered our boba and got some macarons. When our boba was finally ready we grabbed it and went to go drop my brother off at an activity on the other side of the mall and as we are walking there I start to wonder why is no boba coming through my straw then I realize there is no boba or jelly in my drink and there is only blue lemonade my dad said it not go back so I got boba somewhere else in stead but I still like going here but I hope this will never...
