We took my daughter Catherine here as a treat for learning all her letters. She's four. I had seen an advertisement on Facebook and thought she would enjoy it. She had an absolute blast. They were very professional. The photographer was good at working with her and encouraging her to smile. I was aware of their pricing before we went, so I knew I was not going to be surprised by that. I would definitely say they need to make the prices easier to find on their website and redesign their website a bit as it is clunky. Other people who may not be as good of investigators might be surprised as the reviews here make clear. I found what I needed there, but I am pretty used to researching to find out what I need.
I also compared their gallery to another local 'fantasy' photographer in the Dallas area before booking. She takes very nice pictures that are certainly more affordable and are more focused on 'princess/prince' pictures. She has very strict requirements on her web page outlining her process. It looked solid enough and she might be an option for some people scared by these prices. In my opinion, the quality of background and images was not quite as high. Other people's opinions may differ on that. If you are interested, then I would suggest googling "fantasy photography" or "fairy or princess photography" for your local area or the metroplex/north Texas to find alternative options. This took me all of about 15 minutes on google to find so I am sure others can too.
Many people may just do the pictures and 8x10 for the Kidd's Kids. And the 1 hour session to make your child feel special and get an 8x10 for $25 is quite frankly a tremendous value. Some places will charge you $40 for a photo session without the special background and costumes or require you spend at least $150 or something on pictures. So I think that's a great value for the experience for a child. We did a zoom session to view our photos with the consultant. This worked well for us and she was very friendly and helpful. We ended up getting several and did a financing package. They had an introductory package too of $200 (equivalent to the 8x10 you get) and a 2 for 1 kind of deal as well. We bought a package with a storybook, a wall picture, and 8 high resolution digitals. We spent about $2489 I think for all of that with taxes. We could have also done 2 digitals for $500 (using our $200 credit) which is high but not impossibly out of some people's reach for a couple very nice pictures with editing that can then be printed at any size desired for friends and family. We are waiting on the storybook and wall picture to arrive and have already received digitals. They were even kind enough to fast track the editing on one of the pictures I wanted to use for a Christmas card. They may or may not have the same kind of deals in the future but this is what we got.
Overall, I have been satisfied with the process and they were extremely helpful. Even better, my daughter ADORES her pictures and likes making up stories about the unicorn and the fairy she met. I have been able to send the high resolution digitals to grandparents and they have been able to print out whatever they like. So go in with eyes wide open on this deal, whether you want just the session and 1 8x10 for the experience, maybe buy a couple edited pictures, or may be willing to get the package deal and you are not so likely to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only words I can think of when talking about this experience is WOW. MAGICAL, and one of a kind experience. My 10 year old daughter is still talking about it to this day and wants to do it again. #NoRegrets. I am currently dying of kidney and heart failure and don't have much longer. Enchanted Fairies was on my bucket list to do for my daughter to make memories, but when they convinced me to do it with her, it made the experience that much more special. Not only did the memories begin in our home doing our hair and makeup together, the magical memories lasted after the photo shoot as well. It was a day we will both ALWAYS remember. From the momennt we got there we were pampered and treated like royalty. Picking out our dresses and flower crowns, changing into the magical (and heavy but beautiful) gowns. The photographer, Amanda, was nothing short of amazing the entire time! Going easy on me because of my health, making my daughter and I laugh the enttire time and making us feel more special than we ever have. We met the little unicorn, Stardust and the big unicorn, Serenity. My daughter has not stopped talking about the magic she felt the entire time and Amanda made sure we felt it throughout the entire photo shoot. Seeing my daughters face light up was the best part of it all. I cannot wait to see the final photos, I know the photos are going to be just spectacular but the memories my daughter and I hold in our hearts now, is something money can't buy. Huge shout out to Amanda for making this day go down in history for my daughter and I and making us feel the magic in our hearts. Thank you Enchanted Fairies for the memories and magic. 5 stars all the way!! I don't have our photos back yet, we still have to do our photo premiere and choose the ones we want, which is going to be hard to just choose a fewm but Eleanor and I got to experience the red carpet room after out photo shoot and we had a blast taking selfies and we thought we would share some of them with this review. This is one experience you will NOT regret. Book...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEnchanted Faries Middletown location (pine bush) was not only an awesome photoshoot, but an amazing experience for my child and myself!
Wendy, the photographer obviously had tons of experience and had awesome techniques. I take pictures of my toddler 24/7 and never can keep her attention as long as Wendy did. The whole appointment was perfect from start to finish Wendy made my daughter feel so beautiful and like a real fairy. My LO (little one) was shy when we first walked in and when I tried to comfort her Wendy jumped right in talking to her about dresses and let her pick one. The second Wendy walked out with the dress my LO picked out everything changed. My LO was so obsessed with the āfairy wallā and even ācaught a fairy for Miss. Wendyā, I know not all locations have it but the Middletown/pine bush location has a bell as itās hosted in a beautifully renovated but still authentic church. Ringing the bell for all the fairyās was one of my LOās favorite parts of the day.
Wendy did so well explaining all of the process and options for us while keeping my LO busy and occupied. She was so quick with changing the set as soon as the LO started to lose interest in being photographed and was going rogue with the props.. lol. This location literally was perfect for the whole concept, it was as if the little āfairy churchā was purposely placed in the woods next to a little stream and little bitty dainty old bridge. It really made getting my daughter excited that much easier. Aside from the experience Wendy took the best pictures Iāve every seen of my child, now I know thatās a photographers job but really she shocked me. Itās not easy taking pictures of toddlers especially when they are all hyped up about fairyās and thereās literally so much small detail to the fairy set that I canāt believe she didnāt just ignore Wendy and play in the little fairy land. Wendy really did exceed expectations the day of our appointment, and did such a great job explaining the process and giving us an idea of the outcome...
