I called Tuesday April 23 regarding a CNA position I spoke with HR and was told to come in and take the test at the front desk and if I pass, I will complete the application and she will let me know when I will be interviewed. I asked if I needed an appointment and personal said no just walk in and so I did on Friday April 26 around 11:45 am. When I got to the front desk I was ask if they can help me I said I was there to fill out an application. The person at the front desk stated that they were not hiring, not with a smile or friendly welcome at the desk. I repeated that I spoke to Human Resources and was told to come in therefore, I was there to do a test and fill out an application for CNA. The receptionist I assumed, was very adamant and did not say (let me check HR since I would not have known the procedure unless I spoke to someone in HR) which if she was doing her job properly, would have been the next thing to do but it never happened and so I left saying to myself, "every disappointment is a blessing" from that attitude, God was trying to tell that this place was not the right place for me. No professional etiquette or decent public relations. Thank God I got out in time. I am retired and wanted to help people that needed help and make a difference. It's not about the money it was me giving my service with compassion and love to the sick and elderly, it should have matter to everyone that walk through that door be treated with professionalism but you know what? My son has been with this facility for the last year. I had a lot of worries and concerns in the beginning but as time went on things started to get better. Most of the staff is great just speaking on and off the employees that work close with my son and who I had the pleasure of meeting or speaking too. They are doing an awesome job and things are really turning around for my son. I really appreciate each and every last one of them.
