The Cake Lovers — Restaurant in Plantation

We ordered two cakes from Cake Lovers in plantation. We live in Colorado and were flying in for family 'back to back' birthdays. I called on Thursday afternoon Colorado time. They sent me a link to order from - the Cakes were ready for pickup early Saturday morning.

I recently did that same thing for my wive's birthday a few months ago when we were traveling to Orlando. The ordering process was much more complicated...pick up was difficult as thay bakery shut the location down earlier than the online hours suggested and mostly importantly the cake from that cake shop was dry and tasteless. The experience with cave lovers was vastly different.

The Cake Lovers'website was super easy to navigate. We ended up ordering a cookies and cream and a lemon raspberry cake. Both were soft, creamy, delicious and looked fantastic. I especially loved the lemon raspberry cake personally...but both were amazing.

If I have any complaints...it's were that the Tall cakes were massive...more massive that I expected..hardly fit in the fridge. Having two back to back birthdays on consequent days and ordering cakes from Cake Lovers is a recipe for disaster...or maybe diabetes...since you can't let any of it go to waste...it's just too good

My boss of 16 years turned 75 this year (and celebrated his 50th year in practice as a criminal defense attorney). His birthday happened to fall on the week of our annual Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers annual meeting. This year we were in Ft. Lauderdale. With a crowd of 300+ of his closest friends and colleagues, I knew the cake had to be something special. I contacted several bakeries in the area. The Cake Lovers was the first to respond and were so accommodating. I was very vague with what I wanted as I didn't really know for sure. I told them a few of my boss's likes and dislikes and left it in their hands.

The final product was beyond anything I could have imagined. They created a masterpiece! It was a cigar box complete with cutter, ashtray, and cigars. Every single piece was edible. The look was so incredibly realistic that upon being presented with the cake (after lecturing hundreds of attendees), my boss tried to open it as if it were an actual cigar box!

I highly recommend The Cake Lovers. Every single step of the process was easy. They packaged the cake with care and allowed me to pick it up. I will definitely order from them again and will continue to spread the word....

Didn’t know any bakeries in Fort Lauderdale as I’m still a fairly new resident and found this one on yelps “top 10 bakeries of Fort Lauderdale” let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed! From putting my cake order in to picking it up and then eating it the experience was great!

The ladies were always kind every time I called. (Even when they are the only one there and have their hands elbow deep in dough. Whoever you were!) they gave me an email to send an order to and would let me know if they were available on short notice (4 days notice). I received an email back within 3 hours with a quote and extreme instructions on how to take care of the cake when it was picked up etc. I placed my order and received a personalized email back within seconds. Expect a higher price for your custom cakes, it is definitely well deserved.

Due to Covid you aren’t allowed in the shop but they brought the cake to us and personally set it in our car. I let them do whatever they wanted as he wasn’t picky.

When we actually cut into the cake it was the perfect moisture and flavor. I never expected it to taste so good. With such a great experience we will definitely be back to try other...
