The food here is better than the other dutchpots. However customer service is terrible. Lavern the lighter color lady who always has in her white headphone is always rude. Today (4/22/23) was especially bad. She was yelling at her fellow coworker Sheldon who maintained respect towards her at all times. He seemed to have made an error and instead of her pulling him one side she started cursing at him and yelling at him telling him “Him nuh fi serve oxtail so and him can stay ova deh so and low it.” She then preceded to call some authority figure probably the manager and telling her side of the story. I hope the manager is reading this…I want you to know at no point did Sheldon disrespect this young lady. She was wrong to curse at him infront of all of the customers. He even said to her “calm down please let me do my job.” And Lavern continued to curse him. Then she started yelling at customers and ordering customers to grab juice from the refrigerator to fill an order she working on. She didn’t even say please. “Aye grab one carrot juice” and the poor guy didn’t understand so she continued to yell until another customer grabbed the juice and told her calm down. One of her colleagues even had to tell her take a break and she will take over the cash register. I always come to this location and also order food for my company luncheons from this location. But honestly Lavern is really turning me off from coming here. She makes you feel like you are bothering her or inconveniencing her. When she’s giving you the receipt she says “Here sign dat” in a loud demanding tone. She’s going to get herself and the company in problems if she doesn’t learn how to speak to people. She is a liability to the Dutch Pot empire.

If I could give negative-10 stars I would. Now this is not about quality or taste of the food. This is about the rude, unprofessional group of beasts behind the counter. I was picking up an Uber eats order & the lady tells me, extremely rube btw, tht pickups are over there, so I go over there where she points, I took 2 steps guys, literally 2 steps to my right & asked what type of cake/bread a certain counter item was & another lady answers my question, also very rude 🤦🏻‍♀️ Then the same beast who told me where to stand barks at me again & says “I said pickup is there, not there!”🥱🙄 I was 1 maybe 2 steps to right of said pickup area, mind u the order I’m picking up is literally a “dipped out from the buffet plate” & they had me wait a good 10 min & it had been ready, wow…. I’m always respectful & nice, they should definitely try tht out! I told them have the day...

I wanted curry goat for dinner and someone recommended I try Dutch Pot as they think it’s better than Donna’s and Golden Crust. What a huge mistake I made not ordering from Donna’s. I Ordered a small curry goat and beef patty for dinner via Uber Eat (yes I was feeling lazy today). I was excited to have my goat but was seriously disappointed. The goat tasted way to gamey, there was more fat and bones than meat, extremely greasy because the goat was not cleaned properly and as a bonus surprise, dumplings. I think someone forgot they were making curry goat and not oxtails and added dumplings, SMH.

I also asked for plantains and a salad. I did not get any plantains or salad, just store bought grated cabbage mixed with what taste like vinegar.

I will never eat here again or take restaurant recommendations from my acquaintance who recommended this...
