Computer and More — Local services in Pleasanton

I came into Computer and More for an iPhone screen replacement, and I deeply regret it. I was sold an aftermarket screen for $299 + tax, with the assurance that it was "exactly like the original." That was absolutely not true.

Right after installation, my phone started lagging and glitching. I compared the new screen side-by-side with my husband's original iPhone screen, and the difference in color and display quality was immediately obvious -- the replacement was clearly inferior.

I returned the next day asking for a refund, and the owner gave me a hard time, trying to charge me a 20% fee for his "work." I told him I'd go through my bank instead, which offers full protection. Only then did he agree to a full refund and returned my original screen.

But when I got my screen back, I noticed a burn mark (see photo attached). He claimed it was just from a heat gun and would fade, but I took it to an authorized Apple service provider -- they told me the phone is now damaged beyond repair.

So not only did Computer & More sell me a subpar product under false pretenses, but they also destroyed my phone in the process. This business is shady and dishonest. I would give 0 stars if I could. Avoid...

Brought my computer here in December and still don’t have it back! It’s 4/4. They “fixed” it in January with a new battery (for $330) that died 30 minutes after we got it home. Brought it right back and haven’t received a phone call since. I’ve come back to the store multiple times and every time the computer is torn apart and they will work on it and call me back when it’s done. Nothing has been done! I go today when they open and no one is there, sign on door says open at 10. It’s 10:17 and no one is here. Stay away from this business! Go to Screenworks instead!

*Update edit: after 45 minutes of waiting, he showed up and my computer was still torn apart. I waited another 25 minutes for him to put it back together. He refunded me $100 for the battery. Computer is dead, didn’t need to be dragged out for 3+ months. He was apologetic and had lots of excuses but when you are running a business of this type, it should be way more efficient. Computers look randomly stacked on each other, not organized, which shows on the customer...

I've been to computer and more twice for 2 different issues, the first time, i had a battery that was overheating too much and mohammed fixed it promptly and was very quick to look into the issue. The second time, I spilled wine onto my laptop and thought it was beyond recovery and rushed to his store. He wa kind enough to look into it immediately, dropping whatever he was doing, while I waited at his store. He provides exceptional customer service, is sincere, genuine, hard working and honest. He works to earn the trust of his customer and takes a lot of pride in the work that he does. The second fix involved a logic board and keyboard replacement, and he provided me regular updates and repair and progress made. Mohammed fixed the issue and brought my laptop back to life :) and I am greatful. He is reasonable in the prices he charges and remains very honest.Probably the best store in the bay area for comp and phone...
