Dear owners (Anoosh and Pallavi),

I’m sorry I have to write this feedback here as Anoosh was not receptive and rather argumentative about when I tried calling him and telling him this personally.

Dear All,

I’ve visited the restaurant more than anyone else in the bay area and after several visits and sharing a really good rapport with the owners, the manager and the chef I’m urging you’ll to NEVER VISIT THIS RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN!!!!!

I’m going to justify why

As a regular, returning and frequent customer I decided to celebrate Diwali dinner with and family at this place. There was a set menu suggested by chef which we ordered and appreciated them going out of the way to cater veg and jain requests but the nightmares are yet to begin. The service WAS EXTREMELY SLOW, PATHETIC and BELOW STANDARD

Food was COLD, UNCOOKED and JUST WRONG in some cases.

My friends and I were running around asking for food and also bringing their own cutlery as this place was under staffed and totally untrained on a weekend.

Moreover, I was being told I’m being given a discounted price and there were 4 pieces of bruschetta's for $18+taxes with that service totally UNWORTHY

To sum it up, I was promised a Porsche, charged for a Ferrari but they could not even deliver a Toyota!

I paid half as deposit as the owners left for another event with expectation that I would speak with them and explain our concerns and frustration but again later over phone Anoosh was too egotistic to listen and agreed to refund the whole bill while he misbehaved with my wife over the phone which is totally unacceptable.

THEY WERE TRYING TO SAY THAT THEY GOT 30 UNEXPECTED GUESTS WHICH RESULTED IN ERRORS WHEN THAT GROUP WAS RELATED ONE OF MY FRIENDS AND SAID THEY HAD BOOKED AHEAD IN TIME.

Dishonest, inhospitable, egotistical and unreceptive is what remains in my memory going forward. I’m sorry it had to end this way but you need to change.

In the past I empathized with Anoosh when he asked to me give him a good rating after several BAD FEEDBACK and REVIEWS to bring back his rating and it feels like this is a pattern and personality and I totally believe that ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS are GENUINE and ALL GOOD ONES ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

Even if I were given a LIFETIME FREE FOOD at AK LOUNGE and GRILL, I’d next step foot EVER AGAIN!!

I had a lunch with group of friends and I must add it was a diverse group and none of us were left disappointed by the menu, it catered to everyone's taste. It's not your typical indian restaurant, AK Lounge and Grill is an Indian restaurant with a twist, the menu is an amalgamation of varied cuisines. The dishes are fusion but that doesn't mean they are trying too hard to blend in. The dishes are perfectly altered to your taste buds. I am a vegetarian and had tons of options, we had the honeychilli water chestnut..which i would definitely recommend and then the amritsari paneer Tikka for appetizers. Paneer butter masala and spicy malai kofta were the main entrees, i asked for spicy, it was not overwhelmed with spices which I liked, it was the right kind of spicy, you do get to choose according to your spice level. We had those with the bullet naan, soft and melt in the mouth kinds. For dessert we had the spring roll carrot halwa and baked gulaab jaamun which is a must try. It also has kids menu for your little ones and an amazing aquarium which would keep them busy, to tell you the truth I was mesmerized myself seeing those live corals. Overall, we had an awesome lunch , the ambience is warm and cozy. The tables are big and even though we were a large group, we didn't have our elbows touching, plenty of space for everyone. I would definitely come back when the bar is open, looking forward to their fusion...

Overall, I highly recommend AK Lounge & Grill for an exceptional fine dining experience. It's perfect for special occasions or a night out with friends and loved ones. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance once dine-in opens, as this gem is sure to be popular.
