Trudy's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Pleasanton

I really like this hallmark location. The staff is usually very friendly. I went in a Christmas time last year, end of 2023. I got there late and walked in 5 minutes before closing. The Asian lady behind the counter scowelled and wouldn't even look at me when she saw me come in 5 minutes before closing. And I get it, I work in retail as well.., but its the job we do and we help everyone no matter what time they get there especially at Christmas time when everyone is running around frantically after work trying to find what they are looking for. As I started to walk around, another lady walked up and introduced herself as Rachelle and offered to help me. I said I'm a typical guy here not knowing what I'm looking for and hoping to find nice things for my mom. Rachelle spent the next 15 minutes with me talking about my mom, things she would like, and just conversing. She spent 10 minutes with me after closing time to make sure I got exactly what I didn't know I was looking for. I really appreciate her for that and bcuz of her, I'll continue to go to that...

Update: 3.2.24 Same situation as usual. I needed a few specific cards, and a very helpful and friendly employee assisted me with a smile. She showed me where to look for the themes I needed. Lots of adorable Easter gifts and decorations in stock as well. I still shop this Hallmark store as they keep displays up to date and have a nice selection. Very few Hallmark stores are left, so we're glad this location had stood the test of time.

Was looking for very specific card that I couldn't find. Kind employee assisted me, thoroughly checking different aisles as she was very familiar with inventory. Eventually found exactly what I was looking for! This shop is one of very few remaining Hallmark stores, and our family is really glad to still have this store in our community. Not only was this employee helpful, she was so polite and patient in checking until she located what I needed. Store is very clean, well-organized, lots of free parking. I'm signed up for Hallmark rewards, so I receive good coupons and promotions on a regular basis. Highly recommend...

Called a head for bridesmaids cards a.k.a. asking to be my bridesmaids and when I got there they were all scrambled didn’t know where they were and only had one card I basically wasted the whole trip coming all the way out 30 minutes and another 30 minutes looking in the store to try to find them myself told him I spoke with someone on the phone and they said they had such a big staff they didn’t know who I spoke with but the store is literally the size of a Starbucks.
