Updating to reply to your reply: let me be as clear as possible, the issue is not with the computer, not with any discrepancies between an iPad and a computer. The issue is the slimy sales tactics of Thomas. Within 5 minutes of being in the store, let's get half your money and get you this product. Hold on man, I haven't got to look at anything your store has to offer. I find the couch. I really like this, hurry give me half your money and you'll get it at the end of July. Okay let us go eat and talk about it. T- you gotta get it now as our next shipment isn't until October. Come back a few days later, it was a mistake in the system the July 27th order is over sold. Okay no big deal. Give me 50% and I'll get you on the August one... Wait you just told me it was October... Then a few minutes later it was give me 50% down and we'll get you one in September. I understand sales, I get it. I've been in recruiting for the Army for the last 17 years; what he does is slimy. I told him I'd be happy to give him my info and he could call me whenever some were. Available and he made some condescending remark you'll never get one then and walked off. Again, this isn't a him specific problem, its how you train your sales staff. We ordered 2 tables from you guys in January or February of 2018 and you literally did the exact same thing and they never showed up. I guess stinging everyone along can work and maybe it gets some deals closed because people feel obligated, but I assure you, you're losing a lot more business by not being honest and trustworthy.
Original Review: They still have the same tactics they had 6 years ago when we ordered from them. Give us 50% and you'll get the next one that comes in, hurry hurry the next order after this months isn't until Oct. Then you come back and oh this list is over sold, there were computer problems and we couldn't tell. We'll get you on the next shipment in August.... Wait 4 days ago you told me the next shipment was in October, we'll you want in on September shipment or not? Just all over the place, they want half down, want you to order, then they will absolutely string you a long for months and months. Terrible sales tactics and professionalism all...
Read moreI am giving one star because of the awesome delivery team and the sales people of this store. The quality of the furnitures that we purchased from this store deserve no star at all. They are not just bad quality, they actually are dangerous to have! We purchased a dinning table and chair set, a set of family room sofa and chairs, and a bedroom set. Within less than 6 MONTH of usage, I found problems in all sets of the furnitures listed below: The dinning table paint is peeling off (we use hot pads on our table). There are random nails and screws that dropped out of the dinning chairs, and my husband has to constantly tighten the screws on the chairs so they don't shake all the time when we sit on them.
The family room sofa has a zipper in between the two cushions that cut my husband's elbow and caused bleeding, the cushion of the accent chair was nailed on slanted and had nails dropped out, and the other single sofa in the set has a big staple poking out the bottom and scratched my toe (see pictures below). We have a little baby who will soon be able to crawl around, I cannot imagine if there will be more nails and screws and staples dropping out and she finds them or get hurt by something sticking out!!!
The pain on the bedroom dresser top is also peeling off.
We contacted Scheiderman's furniture customer service, first it took them forever to get back to us, and then their solution to the paint peeling off the dinning table was to take the table away for two weeks and re-spray it. So are we suppose to just have them take everything away and re-spray if in the future other pieces have paint peeling off???
Update on status after three weeks of posting: To respond to the reply from owner, the staple came out after the technician came to fix the other chair, so that is unrelated to the technician visit. I missed one call from customer care and I called back with the reference number and all, left voice message, no one called back. I don't feel that your customer care department care about your customer at all! And you should stop ordering furniture from this manufacture if there is safety issues and quality issues like these if you really do care about the quality of what you are selling...
Read moreSaying delivery was inconvenient is an understatement. You can't get a 2 hour time window until 2 days ahead of your scheduled date, no matter how far in advance you schedule. So good luck trying to plan anything else for the day of delivery. I asked for a call when they were on the way, that didn't happen. The delivery crew freely admitted they didn't even read the second page with delivery notes. Once they got here they asked me if I had anything to prop open the door, shouldn't that be on the truck? Then asked if I had a tape measure...okay for sure that's basic equipment on a delivery truck.
The tape measure question kind of got to me because Schneiderman's sent out this team ahead of time, they call it "will it fit". Basically a delivery crew comes to your home before you commit to buying something to see if it can fit thru your door and if it will fit where you want it placed. I guess my delivery crew didn't believe the other crew had done this. They asked again if I had it done 15 minutes after I explained that the other crew said the sofa should fit because the back came off (something I had to return to the store to find out because the crew that did the "will it fit" wasn't even told what kind of sofa I was trying to purchase).
All in all the guys on both crews were nice enough but they both made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. The first because the salesperson didn't do their job by noting what furniture they should be measuring for. The second because the first team obviously didn't leave any notes for them to work off of (which I can't fault them for since they didn't know what I was buying).
Overall I will enjoy the sofa I bought and just try to forget how...
