Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Pooler

as soon as I walked in I observed the store manager walking around with his mask off down around his chin. too many people walking around with no mask on. store wasn't too crowded so I continued...employees wear there mask half covered with noses exposed. a man stepped behind me in the checkout line with no mask on and no social distancing.

I walk in to grab two items and was totally taken aback by how neglectful people and staffers are with masks and social distance especially with the current situation in the US. ironically the man behind me was previously engaged in a no mask no social distance conversation with another man prior to getting in line behind me.

Also ironic a few months ago when the store was a bi lo one of the cashiers told me her aunt died of COVID. and ironically she was sad but also not wearing a mask properly.

I expect more from our local grocery stores if piggly wiggly doesn't have the moral courtesy and courage to protect its staff and shoppers I will shop at another piggly wiggly again. just because the area is low income doest mean your staff should be. I a resident of highland falls and I stop here on my way driving home for convenience but I will gladly give my money to publics than to deal...

Sad and disgusting. Their cashiers are slow, their prices are high, shelves are bare and dirty. Never going back.

Update: check every expiration date! The first time we brought something home and realized it was expire we just chalked it up to an accident the second time not so much. The third time was our own stupidity for not checking but we were in a rush. We got a bottle of salad dressing that expired the month they opened. My grand nieces and I solely went to purchase some cakes! OMG, the homemade half cakes like caramel, red velvet and carrot cake are so delicious looking. They’re $15.99 each and worth it. They also sell the regular cakes for $6.99 - $9.99 like sour cream pound cake, lemon, strawberry and Mississippi Mud cakes etc. I know Piggy Wiggly from Starkville, MS for having yummy cakes. I’m so glad they’re in Savannah, GA also! All the cakes are delicious! You won’t be disappointed! The cashiers and customers were all so nice to my little grand nieces who were dressed like bunny rabbits. I love the friendliness...
