First let me say I understand what the mission is of the Restore.....however y'all need to work on your pricing. I went to two other restores today on the Southside and their prices blew y'all's out the water. We have been to the Newport News Restore almost weekly looking for furniture and everytime we find overpriced, broken, worn out stuff. We were at the Norfolk Restore today and found an almost brand new sofa there for 89.00! The cushions were so thick they didn't even look like they were sat on. We then stopped into the Newport News one to see if we could find a chair and end table. My husband found a reclining loveseat that one side was broken and it was marked 169.00 He pointed out to an employee that one side was broke and asked if they could do anything about the price since it was broke. She said nope price will stay at 169.00 He then asked about a table with no price. Same lady told him it was sold and the person had until closing to pick it up. So he said in 8 minutes then? She got sassy and said yes honey we close in 9 minutes. As he was leaving the person came back to get the table and your employee said see honey they are here at closing for their table. I will spend my money at the Southside locations since they seem to know how to price their stuff and let me tell you they were both busy and stuff was flying out the door. I remember seeing tables from target in your store. Yes they were new but y'all were pretty much asking what target sold them for on sale. They were donated and y'all would sell a lot more stuff if you...
Read moreIf you haven't gone yet, take a day and go. Browse through the aisles and check out the merchandise. I fell in love with the desk prices, keep in mind some things are donated, some from families, some from stores. I purchased a huge wall length desk for $30! Nothing was wrong with it. Some items are truly second hand, but they clean and sanitize items before selling, they don't deliver, but have someone who does. In my case i got a uhaul , son and nephew (that's how heavy it was and uhaul was cheap) and took it home. They also will hold items , once you pay for them. I went back and got a desk chair, heavy , just had some leather nicks . for $29. New it was over $200 . Come on in, lego's new sets were, i believe $5 i know they were so cheap , still in plastic, my son and i were both wishing we had...
