First off, I want to state that my review is based solely on the Workforce side of things. I also went there for Region 5 for my GED and they were outstanding. Mrs Simon is a saint. That said my experience with Workforce Solutions has been more problem than solution. I am and have been very eager to get myself some employment, they have computers yes and sure they have their website portal to help you find jobs but one one to help you understand how that site works or how to find a job that suits your skill set as opposed to just some random job that pays 15 an hour. Second I applied for WIOA and was approved but the case manager seems to be too lackadaisical and self absorbed to actually help accommodate those who seek her guidance. Instead I’ve been told to wait and wait and wait for them to start the next session instead of being given other tools and a guideline of what I can do in the meantime to get myself into the career trade I desire. No questions no calls to check if I’ve gotten a job. Just dead silence. It’s disheartening considering I’m still unemployed so that I can use my WIOA benefits (I believe it’s only for unemployed so I’m afraid if I get a job it will cancel it out, not sure it wasn’t explained to me) and still waiting for her to call me with an update on when I can start...
