Daviss Donuts & Deli — Restaurant in Nederland

After my favorite childhood “donut shop” went out of business, I have tried almost every donut shop in south east Texas, looking for the same, old fashioned, freshly made kolache/donut experience.

As soon as I walked into Daviss Donut, I knew it was a higher quality “donut shop”; with clean facilities, friendly staff, and an orderly kitchen, my senses were tingling with expectation. BUT, I was still questioning if it possessed the authentic taste that I had searched for ........

I ordered an assortment of their favorites and suggestions, and embarked on the true test. I WAS AMAZED!!!!!!! The kolache bread was perfect with a minuscule amount of flour residue still coating the freshly made bread. The balance of the thickness of the bread and meat and cheese was engineered with purpose. The crawfish and Boudain kolache needs a special achievement trophy all by itself!

In closing.... we won’t just be back..... WE WILL BE BACK TOMORROW!

Best donut shop in...

Ok...I know I work here but I just want to give a huge shout out to Renee and Tracey.......these two women have stepped in and have been pretty much working around the clock... We all use to think that they ran the place until..... Our friend and our co-worker ended up being hospitalized..and it clicked... Alfonso runs it with them..lol .we were shown to appreciate more, to appreciate the passion my bosses have for the business, and the love they have shown not only us their employees....the love for the people...for our guests..we all have been working earlier and longer shifts..we are completely worn out...so if things aren't exactly going way you want at the moment inside just know we are trying... Absolutely love this place! The donuts are always fresh, delicious, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell everything is made with care — they’re just that good.

But what really makes this shop special is the owner. They’re incredibly kind, hardworking, and genuinely care about their customers. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed the moment you walk in.

As for the recent wave of negative reviews — it’s clear they’re the result of a petty Facebook post from someone being immature. It’s disappointing to see that kind of behavior aimed at such a good person and great business. I truly hope that individual finds peace — and maybe a little guidance from God, too.

This donut shop deserves your support. I’ll definitely keep...
