Weekends — Local services in Port Huron

Weekends is one of the most interesting and nicest stores in Port Huron (with a smaller store open seasonally in Lexington). The owners have surveyed the categories of merchandise offered elsewhere in the area and filled in many of the gaps: useful and attractive kitchen gadgets; upscale baby items; home and seasonal decorative objects, Michigan-made where possible; a curated selection of food items for a simple dinner or for entertaining, including bread, cheeses and cookies shipped six days a week from Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor. And saving my favorite for last: gorgeous American-made cotton sweaters and tops that wear beautifully and can go in the clothes washer. Note to Brittany, who commented below: That wasn’t stalking. This is such a cool shop! I like to stop in to browse sometimes just because it's so aesthetically pleasing. They have a lot of household items, especially unique and fun items for the kitchen. This is a great place to find a gift for a newlywed or housewarming. They also have a case of fresh bread and locally produced dairy products like milk, cream, and cheese. Stopped in yesterday for my first visit to the new location of this store. It’s now a little off the beaten path, but absolutely worth looking for. Love the unique items and the spacious and clean shopping atmosphere.
