Port Huron Masonic Center Ballroom / Hall Rental (Official) — Attraction in Port Huron

The reason for my low score has nothing to do with the appearance of the venue...very nice place! My problem is with your Mr Hitchinga. This past weekend my friend had a graduation party for her youngest son. To make a very long story short, the agreement was to meet someone at 1am to return keys and pick up deposit. Mr Hitchinga never showed up. When she finally met with this man, he yelled at her, explaining the reason he didn't show is because he was in the emergency room. He then began to complain about the appearance of the venue. He says there were finger prints on one of the mirrors, a trash can that hadn't been emptied, foot prints on the carpet and 4 balloons on the ceiling. I'm sure there's a fee for those things which we completely understand. But to keep a $250 deposit and to scare a women by screaming at her!and bringing her to tears is completely unacceptable. My friend became very afraid!! She went out to her car, in shock and crying. He then came out to her car to tell her she was on private property and needed to leave. If your policy is to keep the deposit for these minor things, so be it. But for this man to scream at her and kick her out is despicable. I can't help but wonder if he would've given this same...
