If I could I would give this establishment 0 stars but the one star will suffice. I don’t recommend this business at all. I brought my Epson WF 7710 wide format printer to this company due to the fact that Epson suggested and told me they were an authorized service area of theirs. I traveled over an hour to have my printer repaired. My printer sat for a month and during that time I did follow up three times. The first two times I was told by Gavin that they are backed up and have a lot of printers to repair and the tech is not on site. The final call Gavin did apologize once he had realized it had been a month since I dropped off my printer. A few days later I received a missed call and voicemail from the tech Paul Boglino saying the printer could not be fixed and that there would be no charge. I called back to get further details and when I asked what was wrong with my printer so I can communicate this to someone else for repairs Paul said to me and I quote “Yea I don’t have time to fix it and i just didn’t want to work on it. I will not be charging you so you can pick it up or have us recycle it. There were ribbons out of place and I just didn’t want to be bothered with that” I was shocked this was coming from a tech, it was as if I took my printer to an inexperienced tech who just typically watch YouTube to learn how to resolve issues. I was very disappointed in the non service and response received by Paul Boglino. If there was an actual attempt at trying to fix my printer I would have not have bothered to leave a review. The only issues with my printer were scan error and printer error that was created after I attempted to unclog the black ink. I was more disturbed by Paul asking if I would like to recycle my printer after he stated he didn’t even work on it. Despite the owner stating my printer was in bad shape another company was able to fix what Micro data systems did not...
Read moreStopped in to inquire about a damaged laptop(one previously worked on there, unbeknownst to me). Spoke with a man, didn't catch his name, however I've dealt with Adam prior and know it wasn't the same gentlemen. As I began my inquiries about the laptop, the employee seemed agitated or offended that I brought the computer in and whilst I was speaking, tersely interrupted me. He made a brief remark about what's wrong with the computer and that it was filled with bugs (literal bugs), which I hadn't noticed given the laptop was originally in sealed in plastic. I removed the laptop from the counter after seeing this. At the close of the interaction, again while finishing a sentence, he simply pointed to the laptops' charger on the counter to dismiss the conversation. The interaction was short and involved virtually the basest quantity of intelligible information from the employee. A calm reserve can be admirable, however he displayed the communication skills of an angry teenager. I'm aware the business isn't collectively represented by this individual and would return and deal with someone else for any other needs, however a single star directly reflects the value of that exchange. Anyone else considering MicroDatas' business should be aware of a potentially ridiculous or demoralizing experience, if not dealing with...
Read moreMarvelous people. Have been going there 10 years, would not think of going elsewhere. Paul has built a fine operation, reasonably priced, one of high integrity staffed with a skilled, ethical, and helpful team. Adam, who I had worked with most in the past, is extremely knowledgeable and so patient with those of us who are technologically challenged. A few years ago Matt gave me excellent advice on printers. And now I see Paul’s mother is at the front desk treating clients with charm and grace.
A few weeks ago Windows 11 and a lethargic computer were giving me fits. I was quoted the standard estimate, which was not too different from three years before, later to be pleasantly surprised $45 had been taken off because the job took less time. How is that? A “Wow!” in my book, that’s how. Thank you,...
