Harding's Market — Local services in Portage

Though we live twice as close to a Meijer store than to this Harding's, my husband and I would rather patronize Harding's any day. Their service is top-notch, the staff could not be more friendly or more ready to assist the customer. They pull off what most merchants only hope to manage -- making their customers very comfortable and satisfied, while maintaining a high level of efficiency. The only time I ever saw a line at checkout, it was less than a day until Christmas. In addition, we prefer their meat and produce hands down -- fresher and better quality than any competitor. And, when I avail myself of their pick up service, my order has been filled with as-good or better items than I would have picked for myself with no difference in price. Plus, I have the benefit of getting the inside track to customized requests, whether it be the size of a roast or the freshness of bread. Such great attention to detail! So glad we moved here where they are a presence. Everyone knows that this Harding’s is NICE, but I want to give a huge shoutout to Kaleb at Harding’s for delivering such thoughtful and outstanding customer service. On a day when I wasn’t feeling my best, I stopped in hoping to grab my favorite juice—only to find it was out of stock. Before I could even start to feel disappointed, Kaleb stepped in with such kindness and care.

He took the time to explain the store’s smoothie and juice typical delivery schedule. Even better, he offered some great alternative suggestions that turned out to be just what I needed. It’s not every day you come across someone who’s not only knowledgeable, but who genuinely wants to help.

Kaleb’s calm, patient, and friendly demeanor made all the difference. He went above and beyond, and it meant so much during a moment when I just needed a little support. Harding’s is lucky to have someone like Kaleb—he truly made my day better.

They are not letting you buy groceries food water etc without something covering your mouth that you breath through to have life ...they posted a order from the health department saying its required..then asked me about my health exemptions violating hippa laws ...said they wouldn't let me pay at the cash registers ... ..first of all law comes out of the legislative branch not the governor or health departments Is this still being taught in school This should be common knowledge. It goes against all humans . The last race that were required to wear somthing on there bodies was the Jewish community with yellow stars and we know how that turned out .
