PetSmart — Local services in Porterville

These people have gone far and beyond my expectations to get the products I have needed for my pet. I was in desperate need for some dog food for my senior pet. I waited until the last moment to purchase the food and found this Petsmart in Porterville was out of that particular food and wasn't fgoing to be getting the brand I needed in any time soon. I had to go back to work and couldn't drive to Visalia to get the food I needed. One employee here in Porterville who lived in Visalia drove all the way to Visalia while I was at work, picked up the pet food for my pet at the Visalia PetSmart and brought it back to the Porterville store. By the time I got off work, the pet food I needed was there behind the register waiting for me, and that employee drove all the way back to Visalia to go home after his shift here had ended. NOW THAT'S SERVICE! The groomers have been great with all 3 of my pets and their prices are extremely reasonable. So happy that PetSmart decided to open a store in Porterville. They have saved me a lot of money in gasoline since I no longer have to drive to Visalia to get the products and service my pets deserve. Yay for...

If i could put a 0 instead of 1 star, i would. I don't know if you ever got to know a fish but they are lovely individuals. 5 years ago I came to Petsmart and bought my first koi, his name was Slap Fish. A year after that we got 5 feeder fish, only 2 ended up surviving, their names were Orange Chi and Cickle Chi. They all got to be very large and beautiful over the years, very healthy. However, recently (only a week ago) I bought a fish from Petsmart that had fin rot. It was too late when I found out, my fish where already rotting away. Today, Orange Chi passed, the rest are soon to follow. We started treating them a day after i knoticed a small amount of red on Slap's tail: to no avail. I am deeply saddened that my koi bois are dying a slow and painful death. If you could see them now, its a very disturbing sight. Petsmart, PLEASE check your fish. The Ghost Koi was a carrier. In a week, my 50 gallon tank is going to be empty and never will it be...

The employees are always kind and friendly. They are extremely knowledgeable and efficient.

I rescued a little kitten that was under a person car that lived around the corner and down the street from my house. It was almost frozen to death, as the overnight temperatures had dropped to 32 degrees F. I can only assume that the little kitty had climbed into the engine area, looking for some much needed warmth, and fell fast asleep. As he slept, the engine cooled off completely, and he woke up almost frozen to death.

I'm happy to say that he is alive and doing well, growing like crazy.
