Long story short: this was the first time I've faced racism/double standard in Portland.
The store has a policy of leaving food and drinks on a side table right at the entrance and I was told (borderline warned and yelled at) immediately after I walked in. In less than 30 second, a group of 3 white people walked in and they were all holding a drink each on hands but they were not told to put their drinks down. The store was not busy at the time, there were two employees on site. One man from the group was carrying a conversation while holding his cup at the register with one employee and the two other people were looking around at the store.
I was curious so I watched carefully on the side and they were never being told to set down their drinks. I'm personally very disappointed with the treatment. Do...
Read moreNOT a business reflective of Portland and the experiences I have had at other boutiques or shops during my visits in the past. No emphasis on costumer service. More emphasis on following you like a hawk to ensure you don't break or steal any of their "priced" goods. Similarly, there needs to be a better food/drink policy as I don't trust placing my drinks in a random location in this store not knowing what germs or other costumers might do to it. Based not just on my experience, but other similar reviews, I can see this is not a one time experience. Ownership needs to strongly revisit costumer etiquette and address their drink/food policy. COVID has been over for some time & if the idea is to avoid spillage or accidents then maybe these items should be in a museum...
Read moreWow only a 3.3 rating. As a disabled artist trying to work with the owners Cathy and Tory was beyond frustrating. They demeaned me for not having the correct grammar or punctuation. These people are horrible to the crafts people that they steal money from when applying to their crafty wonderland shows. If you're an artist scare clear of here. The way the owners treat people is the way that the sales people on the floor are going To treat customers and apparently according to the reviews that's true. No one's going to buy your stuff in a store where people are rude. If the owner is rude the employs think it's OK to be rude. The owners are extremely unprofessional and discriminate against people with disabilities. Do not support this store for...
