Everyday Food Mart — Local services in Portland

This is a bummer for me to report but I liked shopping at this store when I needed a snack or drink and was visiting my son down the street. Then I tried to use their ATM to get cash so I could buy something from a garage sale close by. The ATM printed a blurry receipt that said there was an error in loading the machine and that I would be refunded. Well I had to try it again for hood measure and got the same. Result but no receipt. I told the dude at the register and he said I had to come back to talko the owner. I then was insulted by a series of different employees the last one telling me that he knew nothing and had just started there" although it is obviously a family business. I am now forced to get them in to small claims court to get my $40+ $7 in fees returned to me and since I have proof of charges and the ATM receipt they will have to return the money they tried to steal from me, in addition to the court fees. Seriously why not just do the right thing? The owner kept suggesting I put in the arong pin or that I didn't have the funds but I was getting the cash out of my dhs account so in addition being sued they can expect a freeze on all snap and EBT transactions, a good portion of their business I'd be willing to bet. Why be so greedy ? All I wanted was to be made whole for their malfunctioning ATM. They didn't even want to put an "Out of Order" sign on the ATM to warn anyone else of the problem they could be facing., and they had no posting on the ATM of who it belonged to with contact I for for potential problems such as this as is required by the state banking laws. I highly recommend to start clqar of the ATM and when buying anything in this store, use cash, or better yet go to the Korean Mimi Mart...

Overall, I really like this market, only had one really bad experience here, but it was due to the employee and the way he roughly handed an item to me, then refused to exchange for exact same item,only unbroken, (glass item) even though I had not left the property and had receipt in hand. He was far too busy complaining about having to be there, and grumbling about everything about/ in the store ( from how it is stocked, price tags, lack of break time, management and how much is on the shelves at a given time). I love the assortment available, overall. Prices are fair and for my adult interests, they have an area set aside to supply things I might need. Thanks folks at...

These people are very kind and understanding. I bought a disposable vape (at a great price btw) and it was disgusting, completely my fault for not testing it.. I brought it back expecting to have to buy another one since it was my own dumb fault, but the associate at the counter was very helpful, got me the one I wanted, and took care of me. I will make this my regular shop from here on out because they took care of a dim witted 26 year old. If I could give 6...
