Excellent experience. This has never happened in my whole life, but I remember actually walking out of that store with the next plan of logging on to google and writing them this review.
A while back I got a hold of a vintage antique Kirby vacuum, however a small hard to describe part from the lifter had broken off. I had gone to many hardware stores around the area trying to find anything that would work with no luck. I walked in to Save Stores and was immediately greeted by a man who asked me how he could help. I told him I needed a part, however that it would be easier to point it out if he had any old Kirbys around. In fact he did, he took me into the back room and pointed out the part I needed. He immediately jumped up to go and look through his stuff to see if he had any, while also calling down to the Oregon City store and actually got them to start looking too. Within 5 minutes of me being there, I have two guys from two parts of town looking for my small insignificant part. Impressive. Another few minutes later, he walks out with a small box of misc odds and ends and pours it out on the floor and what do you know... there it is. The part that I needed. He took the time to go further and look for a screw that goes with it, I couldn't remember if I had it or not, but he insisted and kept looking. We couldn't find a matching screw, but I am sure it was probably in there somewhere had we looked longer, but once I got home I found that the screw was on my vacuum anyway so I didn't need it. I bought some bags for it on my way out. They have a huge selection of bags.
In the end, I was so impressed with the time the man took to find my small part, that I will certainly swing in there from time to time for anything else I might need since I may restore this old Kirby, and definitely buying my bags from there from now on. Thank you...
Read moreI was unable to unstick my needle position dial on my vintage Elna sewing machine. I'd pretty well given up on it ever working again, especially after my former shop told me it couldn't be fixed. Period. Then a few weeks ago a friend of mine who does a lot of sewing told me about Save Stores, and how great they are there, so I decided to give them a call. They told me they could fix it! I'd have to pay for a full service, of course, which I didn't mind doing at all, especially because it had been several years since I'd had that done. So I took my machine to them.
I got a call saying that my machine was fixed and ready for pickup, so I did that today. The needle position dial works perfectly!! Needless to say, I'm extremely pleased with the shop. The owner was the one who fixed it for me, and he told me that he patiently worked with heat and special oil to get the dial moving again. He told me that this problem could always be fixed.
I am so impressed with this shop, and I won't be taking my sewing machine anywhere else from now on. Special thanks to Robbie, the owner, who spent so much time fixing my dial, to Jimmy and Brea, for their excellent customer service, and to the technician who did such a great job cleaning and...
Read moreI was shopping around for a new sewing/embroidery machine. In the past I would have rated them excellent. This last experience was horrible. Again I am shopping around for a new machine, maybe they don't understand that shopping around means I am looking for the best price. After comparing similar brands and taking a quote back to them, Bree made me feeling like I was lying to her and then she told me that she could no longer help me, that I could go and buy a machine from someone else... Seriously? Because I'm shopping around doesn't give you the right to treat your customer that way, hopefully you will learn a lesson within customer service, I have worked in this field most my lifetime and would have never treated my customer this way. Well I will go buy from someone else now and never deal with them again, customer lost for life! Do yourself a favor, shop around and compare and don't let them mistreat you because your simply...
