GiftyKitty — Local services in Portland

Walked into this shop and watched a bearded older man, who I can only assume is the owner, ruthlessly berating his employee. It was so uncomfortable. She was asking him to stop, mentioning that there were customers, and he legitimately looked at us and said "so what?!"

He was extremely hostile, to the point that I stood outside, worried about the woman's safety. I couldn't figure out what to do, because he was spewing such vitriol at her. She eventually walked into the backroom, while he had a seat at the counter.

This was such a horrible experience. Not only will I NEVER shop here, but I will also tell everyone I can about this experience.

If you're a cat person, you are going to love this store! SO many cute things for every age. From books, crafts, buttons, purses, stuffed animals, clothing (including some adorable onesies), to beautiful artwork done by local artists. There is something for everyone here. Reasonable prices too. The guy who was working was incredibly nice and gave my daughter a free sticker. The way they have the store set up with the stuffed cats climbing the trees made it fun for my 7yr old who thought it was the coolest thing ever.
