My wife and I, plus our two puppers, wandered in to Abigail's shortly before closing, so we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to peruse the wares, but the items we were able to browse were smart, sophisticated and sensibly priced. Everything here, from the vintage clothing to the antique/restored furnishings and select pieces of art were classy, elegant, quality pieces.

We were warmly welcomed be the attendant, and spent most of our limited minutes discussing our mutual love of dogs with her, while meandering through the shop and fawning over various items in hushed whispers to each other. I absolutely love Abigails Artful Abode. The first time I went to the shop I was greeted by the sweetest little southern thang- the manager Cossette. She is the primary reason that my boyfriend and I continue to return, aside from all of the gorgeous and unique finds in the shop. I know I will always be greeted with a big smile and some fun stories. We have been lucky enough to buy several vintage chairs and other fun Knick knacks that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Used to be one of my favorite stores downtown, Cossette absolutely made this shop worth visiting!! Now just an awkward experience... seems cluttered before you even walk in the door with all the stuff sitting outside... no hellos or even acknowledgement that I had walked in... Definitely miss the warm welcoming atmosphere!! Probably won’t be going back in the foreseeable future, have not even seen anything cute or worth going downtown for on the IG either for a while!
