I purchased items at this location and did not receive all of my bags from the cashier. And unfortunately I didn’t notice until I got to an appointment I had in the area. I called immediately, dialing the store more than 10 times trying to get through to let someone know that I would be returning for my items. Once I returned to the store I was told they could not find them anywhere, so I asked why the phone was busy for so long, over a period of 2 hours to be exact, with no response. I stressed to them that because the line was busy I couldn’t contact anyone and I asked where was the young lady that rang me up…could they contact her to find out what she did with my items? I was told they could not and they could do nothing about my items because they were no longer there. I spoke with the assistant manager Julie and explained my concern but she refused to offer a solution. I thought about canceling the charge and Julie told me to do what I have to do!! Dollar General please do better. All I wanted was what I paid for, but all I received was resistance at any attempt to help resolve the situation, and because of this I will not spend money at any Dollar General stores. But today I went in and the only associate available was speaking to a delivery man about being off and her plans to attend her grandsons graduation while the customers needed assistance with the self check out. Then when a customer finally got her attention she had to cancel the self checkout order and said out loud that "I have to cancel the order because a customer can't read" she said this phrase two times.
