Heart & Seoul Karaoke — Local services in Provo

I honestly don’t think this is the best karaoke place. Although everything is all set and clean, the problem is something that they’ve already had set perfectly. Rooms are very nice and clean. You can easily find the outlets, so you can charge your phones, and there’s the couch and table. You can just go in and enjoy, but the problem is come from the mics and their karaoke systems. They need to fix or replace the mics as soon as possible. If you are whom have been a singer or singing for a long time, you would realize that the mics have some problems that mainly doesn’t sound like you. And I don’t know why this happened every time, but I always had to go out and ask to change our mics because they were all about to die. So basically this place has the worst mics that aren’t sounding like you and fully charged, so later you have to ask for changing. Also, their karaoke apps may not have the songs that you want to sing. If you go on youtube, you have to waste your five second or thirty second because they don’t have youtube red, so you sometimes need to wait until the ads are done. But the main problems is the price! That sounds very nice that you only need to pay six dollars for an hour, but if you are in a group of people more than two or three, that doesn’t sound as nice as you were alone before. There’s a lot of say, but I’ll stop here because I don’t know how to say in English. 양심이 있다면 돈 좀 줄이고 마이크 좀 바꾸세요 ㅡㅡ 그리고 노래방에 유튜브가 뭡니까 차라리 집에서 금영노래방 유튜브 들어가서 노래 부르는게 훨씬 나을듯ㅋㅋ 그리고 이 시국에 마이크에 씌우는 종이도 없고 돈은 친구 세명이랑 돈 24불 정도를 냈는데 물이 겁나 비싸... 공짜로 주는 150ml 물도 좀 채워놓으세요. 한 사람이 막 몇개씩 양심 없이 가져가는 것도 아니고 카운터에서 아르바이트분한테 한개씩 받아서 가져가는데;;; 사람많은 그룹만 신경쓰다간 자잘한 손님 몇 명씩 잃어서 나중에는 원펀치만 보게 되실수도 있어요. 쒸익 heart& 이라면서 땅끝 해남 마을 코빼기 조차도 안 보이는데 양심적으로 이름 바꿔야하지 않나???? Heart&provo karaoke라고 바꾸면 잘 어울릴듯ㅇㅇ. 진짜 이름값하고 싶다면 한국 노래방 시스템 들이세요 진짜 유튜브 레드도 아니면서 광고 기다려야하는게 말이 됨?????????????? 적으면서 어이없어지는데 운 없으면 1분 기다려야하는데 뼛속부터 기다림은 없는 사람으로써 이거는 용납할수 없음 그나마 시간 안 깎아먹으면 ㄱㅊ 한데 이것도 아님ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그냥... 시간이랑 돈이 너무 시스템도 없고 앵애취임... 진짜 살 떨리는 가격으로 한 시간, 그 좁은 방에 여러명 넣으시면 나중에는 손님들이 없어 추워서 살 떨릴수 있습니다ㅡㅡ 진짜 바뀌기 전까지는 별로 가고 싶지는 않음. 솔직히 혼자서 간 적은 딱 한번이고 그것도 친구들이 나중에 조인하고 그랬는데 별로 추천하고 싶지도 않고 할 이유도 없도 가게의 본질을 잃은 듯함. 그래서 별 두개 주고 갑니당 그래도 방은 좀 깨끗하던데 그 정신으로 화장실도 좀 깨끗하게 점 해주세여 ㅡㅡ 바닥에 물만 있어도 이게 뭔지 알수가 없어서 화장실...

Great concept, extremely poor service. We booked a room for my birthday a week in advance & had to spend 10 minutes looking for a parking spot the day of (not their fault, just a busy street) so we tried to call and let them know we’d be a few minutes late, but they never picked up. We only ended up being about 5 minutes late, but the girl working there docked our time by a half an hour because we were late and wouldn’t negotiate anything else. She seemed very annoyed the entire time, briefly explained the rules and then left. We quickly realized the iPad setup wasn’t working, so I went to go ask for help. She was on the phone so I waited about 5 minutes. She finally asked what I needed (while still on the phone) and I explained the issue. Still on the phone, she came in and fixed the problem then quickly tried to leave. I was standing right behind her and had another question, so I tried to walk out the door behind her but she wasn’t paying attention and slammed the door hard, almost hitting me (since I was walking out behind her) had I not caught it. She apologized, but still didn’t give me the time of day and rudely and briefly answered my question, still refusing to negotiate and give us the full amount of time that we booked and paid for. We weren’t able to do karaoke for the first 15 minutes of our time due to the iPad being broken and her taking awhile to come fix it. It was a Friday night and she seemed to be the only staff there, otherwise we would have asked someone else & been able to fix it quicker. Lastly, I had a friend come when we only had less than 10 minutes of our time left. She just wanted to be in the room with us, but the same worker said she had to pay the full price for the hour & a half in order to get in (again, we didn’t even get the full hour & a half we paid for). I wish I had gotten/remembered the employees name so I could mention it, but everyone there with me that night agreed that it was terrible service. Had a pretty disappointing experience trying to go here on a date. You can't reserve rooms ahead of time if your group is smaller than 6 people (we did check). When we went to see if there was any available, we were informed we'd have to wait a few hours. I asked the girl at the register "just for future reference, could we call on the day of to reserve a room?" and was basically told yes, but you might as well not bother.

We're married with kids. We have a limited amount of time to go out and can't just hang around for a couple of hours until a room opens up, so the whole situation was frustrating. Honestly, I'm less upset that we weren't able to get in and more upset that we were basically told (via policy and register-girl) that they weren't going to make enough money off us for it to be worth having us as customers. I guess they are more focused on college students and girls' nights out?

In contrast, we went up to NoraeBang38 in Orem and had a great experience. They were less busy, super helpful, and cheaper. If you enjoy k-pop, saving money, and/or not being snubbed, I'd recommend skipping this one and...
