Read moreOn 11/6 my wife and I went into Rockwells in Daaybreak to purchase ice cream for our son’s birthday. When we requested 2 half gallons of ice cream, we were told by the manager that they were out of half gallon containers. We then asked for four quarts. The manager told us there were no quart containers available either. He then suggested that we could purchase a two and a half box for $75. We asked when half gallon containers would be available. The manager went to his office and checked. We were told that quart containers would be delivered the next day and half gallon containers on Friday. We told the manager we would return on Friday. On Friday 11/8, we returned to Rockwell's for the ice cream. When I ordered two half gallons. I was again told there were no half gallon containers. Again, I requested quarts. The clerk said simply, “We have no containers.” I explained that I had spoken to the manager and was assured the containers would be available. The clerk simply, dumbly, looked at the mangers empty office. He then told me I could buy a box of ice cream for $75. I said, I already had that conversation.” And left. I was furious. The clerk appeared to be about 14 years old, was very stoic and never once smiled. He was borderline rude and clearly wanted the problem to go away. I will NEVER return to Rockwell’s, nor do I advise anyone else to do business there. The whole incident was...

The sundae was very sweet, so I couldn't eat a lot of it, but that's likely because I don't eat a lot sugar in my normal diet.
Concerning the shop more generally, if you're looking for a cheap ice cream cone or you like a lot of customization, this isn't the place for you. We went here for a date without anything we were specifically planning on ordering or any assumptions about cost beyond "let's get ice cream!" and a vague idea that we'd be seeing downtown pricing instead of grocery store pricing. This meant the offerings and cost didn't violate our expectations. I personally would probably only come here for a date or...
