This is a nice building and very tastefully decorated. My two issues and why I only gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is no parking and I do mean no parking. Also, when you first walk in to the main entrance there is an elevator there you can take, but the crazy thing is it does not take you to the top 3rd floor, only the second floor. To get to the third floor you have to walk around the main room on the first floor and take escalators or an elevator on the other side to the 3rd floor. I think that is ridiculous, why would you not have that elevator go to the top floor. Both parking and building setup were annoying to me.
Update - The building just responded to my post above, which I have to give them kudos for the response. However, while there may be a parking lot a block away it is still not convenient. Second, if you walk into the building from the small parking lot they have and walk down the hallway a little bit on the corner is an elevator and it does only take you to the second floor not the third so please do not respond back stating it does, it is...
Read moreWas there for a sizable conference. The conference was great, but the conference center was not. Things we experienced: -the center is draconian about food, claiming that not allowing outside food or drink is for 'safety reasons,' however, they gave wheat flour cookies in the 'gluten free' meals and don't even offer sugar free options for diabetics, let alone low carb. Complete incompetence that will hurt people. Conveyance tools were in poor condition, with warning signs in the elevator to not make much movement, and an escalator constantly squealing and sometimes smelling of smoke. Poor AV equipment. Every class had difficultiez with the equipment due to hardware issues, and the sound system set up in the main ballroom was so bad that speakers were unintelligible if there was noise in the room (such az mealtimes). Poor supply management. The bathrooms would be completely out of hand soap by 3/4 through the day. Pros: mostly clean. Lots of room. Lots of...
Read moreSo I'm not really sure how it all works, like if you pay x amount then you only get 2 sodas and the rest water at the break out snack tables. Lol. Just seems to me they were way short on drink selections.
Same with the snack table, it went empty every break out session and people went without.
Also, they have a huge room we used that just looked like a big warehouse room and about the same sound problems as one. They put up 2 little side screens that were low, little and difficult to see. No big screen they could put up in that room? (See photo)
Lunch was OK, the pork was way dry though. They didn't run out of that though, thats a thing.
ZERO PARKING. NO PARKING AT ALL. UGH. That really frustrated me.
They need to clean or replace their furniture.
Mostly I was grumpy cause the screens and the sound in the conference room. Invest is some equipment to minimize echo and audience noise and get a big screen for the...
