Because I work here and have for 3 years. I absolutely love this store and working here. My coworkers are great and the customers are awesome. I love meeting new customers all the time. I have even become friends with some outside of work. The owner and my boss (Donald) is one of the kindest, hardest working, most generous men I have ever met in my life. He is a wonderful person to work for and the customers absolutely love him too. I have definitely seen a very large increase in sales and the amount of regular and new customers we have in the 3 years working here. I really don't understand why anyone would want to shop anywhere else. I do realize that we don't always have everything you need, I myself sometimes need to pick up a few things elsewhere. I definitely do not like having to go anywhere else. I can't believe the prices some other stores charge (I check prices out when I go into other stores), but they should definitely shop with us first. Some customers go out of their way to shop with us and wish there were closer locations near them. I even have some that pass their local stores just to shop at the Quakertown store (they just love how organized & clean the store is and how friendly & helpful the staff is). I will continue to always tell everyone I know about shopping at Grocery Outlet, because not only am I a customer (that loves saving money), I am also proud to say I am a very happy...
Read moreI shopped at this store several times a week for my fur babys treats as it was convenient to where I live and prices were cheap. The people are always friendly but after trying to return treats that I bought for my pup not realizing it was the owner that I talked to to try and return the unopened treats that he claimed I never bought there. It was a total of around $20 that I was returning. I didn't ask for cash I wanted to get a store credit since I shopped there all the time. The owner was very rude, showed not 1 ounce of empathy or compassion that I just lost my companion of 9 years. He coldly stated that he lost his dog that week and the money would come out of his pocket. I couldn't understand that since I was not seeking cash but exchange for store credit or exchange for other items. I wasn't in a habit to save dog treat receipts and the only reason I was returning them was because my dog past away unexpectedly. I didn't save my receipts because I wasn't expecting my fur baby to die. I have worked in retail most of my career and would never talk or treat someone with the uncaring and rudeness this man showed. I won't shop any where at a retail establishment that is this Ignorant and and not even try to help a...
Read moreI had a deeply disappointing experience at this location today (Tuesday, April 8, 2025). I came in with the intention of purchasing groceries to donate to a food pantry that supports veterans—a cause that’s very important to me. I selected approximately 25 KIND bars and 15 boxes of Pineapple Larabars, along with other items, totaling around $200.
To my surprise, I was told I could only purchase two units of the KIND bars and Larabars. This was especially disheartening given that the items were intended for donation. Despite explaining the charitable nature of my purchase—and the fact that I left plenty for other customers—my request was still denied.
What made the experience even worse was how it was handled. Rather than addressing the matter discreetly, the issue was announced loudly in front of other customers, which was both embarrassing and unnecessary. To add to that, I was asked to return the products to the shelves myself.
Today, the store didn’t just lose a customer—it lost my trust and respect. Their actions made it clear that they don’t value the community—much less the veterans who rely on food pantries to feed...
