Not impressed. We got the Greek salad and the custom stir fry with sesame garlic sauce. The salad was so salty and very difficult to mix dressing into because the bowl was so small. There is no option at kiosk to ask them to mix in the dressing. It is not worth $13.30. You can build a MUCH better custom salad at Wawa for $7.00, seriously!
The stir fry with sesame garlic dressing is packed with sugar and salt and I can't find nutritional information listed anywhere. I selected “light” sauce mixed in my dish and it was served with so much sauce that it looked more like a soup. I didn’t think a restaurant offering healthy and organic foods would over sauce a dish, especially if they give the option to choose "light" sauce which is why I chose this dish. They offered a choice to have it served on the side but I didn't want to do the work myself for a $14 fast food dish. I thought they would get it right since the photos of their food looked lightly sauced. I couldn’t even eat half of it. They ruined it. I asked the worker if this is how they lightly sauce their dishes and she said it was not sauce and that it was water from the ice. Huh?!?! So the dish was frozen and they heated it up? They aren’t even accountable for their mistakes and if they do serve previously frozen food that they heat up before serving then you may as well go to Panera Bread or buy a cheap frozen dinner from the grocery store. The candied pecans were good though. See photos of my stir fry/soup and receipt showing in all caps "LIGHT".
Also, we chose to eat outside in the hot sun with noisy 309 traffic over sitting inside hearing the workers scream out people's names to pick up their food. They have kiosks to order food, why not have an overhead screen to see your name when your food is ready. Who wants to hear someone scream "JESSICA" at the top of their lungs in their horrible acoustics...
Read moreOur usual fast food restaurant was closed for renovations. So, we decided to give Honeygrow a try. We envisioned getting healthful, freshly prepared stir fry. Honeygrow is located off a main highway in a standalone building with another fast food restaurant. When we first entered the facility, we were struck about how stark the surroundings were. The open kitchen and pickup counter were located on one side of the space. The remaining area is for dining and has table and chairs lined up evenly. With the high ceilings and lack of any decoration the place echoes. It has a very institutional feel to it. All of the employees are located in the kitchen area, seemingly preparing meals. First timers have a difficult time figuring out the process because there was no one to ask. There are some lighted signs on the walls that give you a hint about how to go about ordering your food. You first go to one of the several kiosks to view the menu and your options. After you flounder about a bit and place your order you are advised via the kiosk that someone will call out your name when your order is ready. That happened in a reasonable amount of time. The person handing you your tray of food was most pleasant. The food was OK consisting of fresh ingredients with either noodles or rice. The noodles and rice seem to dominate the offering so it didn't seem to be as healthful as we had anticipated it would be. One of the off putting features of their process is that, when you go to pay for your meal at the kiosk, they ask you how much of a tip you would like to...
Read moreI have eaten a lot of food around in many different places. I ordered the garlic chicken bowl.... Added extra chicken just because I was thinking I could have 2 meals from this. I waited nearly 20-25 minutes in store.
For the bowl was $17 with added extra chicken and for me to be able to hold this little container in the Palm of my hand with my hand and then looking at the bowl not even being full is very disappointing. And that was without even getting a beverage!!
You are competing with Chipotle Mexican grill right next to you at half the price you get just as tasty food. granted they are different cuisine...I will more than likely never come back here after this very disappointed.
It is very rare I give harsh reviews like this and you can look in my profile to verify. In my own opinion, If there isn't a price adjustment somewhere or or something is not adjusted accordingly sadly this restaurant will not survive once the "newness" wears off.
Maybe it was a bad round, but this was my first ever experience, and it left a bad feeling. I wish ya'll all the luck, your going to need it.
So I dumped out my bowl onto a plate and and this is their idea of double chicken.... Add a $4 up charge! 3rd picture! I'm sorry that's beyond embarrassing there is literally 11 tiny bite sized chicken squares on my plate...what the actual hell!
The last picture is the amount of grease left on the plate AFTER scraping it back in...
