My friend recommended this restaurant to me stating the food & cocktails is very good. I was there last night & I have to say the decor is excellent. It's very beautiful however the food is least to be desired. We got the Korean bbq not the hot pot. We ordered salt & pepper chicken wings, shrimp fried rice, honey garlic boneless short ribs, LA beef short ribs, jumbo shrimp & marinated scallops. Everything expect for the marinated scallops; it had a very fishy smell & tasted old. The scallops was also marinated so they had to be very bad to smell so fishy even with the marinate on it. I couldn't eat them at all. I order a take away of shrimp fried rice which I thought to be very good at the restauant but the take away shrimp fried rice was not good at all. The shrimp in the take away fried rice also had a strong fishy smell & tasted old too. I couldn't eat the take away shrimp fried rice. The waitress brought me the bill & I noticed they over charged me for the bottle of wine the memu price is $28.00 the bill $36.00 it was $8.00 over the memu price. I informed the waitress & they changed the bill to $28.00. The waitress brought the new bill to me & then I noticed they charged me $9.00 for my glass of wine which the memu price $7.00 so I informed the waitress again so the bill could be revised. They corrected the bill to $7.00 & the waitress brought be the 2nd revised bill. The waitress told me they need to update their menu price. I wonder how many people have this happened to. If they just normally pay their bill without going over each item & price. You know you're out to dinner having a good time with your friends & getting a couple of drinks not noticing the charges is not as the menu stated. My suggestion if you want to dine here please always take a good look at your bill. It might have been a honest mistake or maybe not. Not sure! They did correct the bill once it was brought to their attention. The waitress was very nice & knowledgable however she was very busy & not that attentive to our table. The food is over price & not worth it. I've gotten better meats at "Happy Lamb" hot pot in chinatown all you can eat. They don't serve drinks but the meat is top notch for the price. I won't be going back at all. Maybe when they 1st open the quality was better but right now not worth the...
Read moreIf I could provide zero stars I would. This is not the first time I’ve been to this establishment and have had no problems prior, so to my surprise yesterday’s experience was the most horrific service I’ve ever had. I went with my family at 5:30pm. We waited 10 minutes before a waitress came and asked what we would like to eat. I placed my order and as my family members began to speak she said hold on she has another table to take care of. She ignored us for 15 minutes and we had to ask another waitress to grab her because we weren’t done ordering our food.
She came back rushing us as we tried to ask about the menu, I asked for their fruit platter for my child and she told me she would not bring It out until the rest of the food was brought out because It was considered a dessert. Going out with a toddler is already a difficult task like most parents would know, to deprive my child of what I know he would eat was something I was furious about. I asked for a drink and was not served It at all because she was “too” busy. To make matters worse multiple groups came after us and they were served their food with drinks less than 20 minutes in.
We ordered two sushi rolls , two kimchi stews, two topokki’s, desert platter, and a mango slush. She brought out our sushi and one kimchi stew ten minutes apart. When we asked where the rest of the food was she blamed us for not ordering our food together. At this point we decided to cancel our order for the rest of the food we wanted, as soon as we said that she said our food is ready and she would bring It out. If our food was done at the same time It would’ve made sense to bring everything together. She became “apologetic “ after I asked for the manager or the owner of the restaurant.
Once I got to speak to the manager she said the waitress didn’t understand English and was new. Like I said earlier, many groups came after us and they spoke English as well, so I find It very weird how she understood them and not us. Covering for her staff and making light of the situation was something I was shocked about. If you want the food by all means it’s delicious but if you want to be treated like you don’t exist I wouldn’t go there and I’d place my bets on the next Korean BBQ...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Bad service. Overly priced food. Bartender wasn't professional. We ordered two drinks, I guess I found out that mine wasn't on the menu when I went to return it after two sips because it tasted like a virgin drink, and was told I COULD NOT because the bartender went through all the trouble of making a drink that wasn't on the menu, but I could buy another drink and still pay for the one I didn't want. Why make a drink that's not on the menu (if you made it wrong) and then won't let it be exchanged for one on the menu?? Got charged for the drink I want to exchange it for, so two drinks ended up being $30. After that it all went down hill, Sliced deli meat came in big heart chunks , not what sliced deli meat means. The spicy half of broth had a big chunk of ginger that ruined the rest of the meal when eaten during using the hotpot. Only toward the end of our meal did the waitress come turned down the boiling hotpot that was so hot it burned our mouths. The staff kept walking by and staring at us , and it made us feel uncomfortable. When leaving 3 of the waitresses we're standing at the hostess stand that is next to the door and watched us leave. Which didn't happen the whole time we were there because you can see that area from our seats. After our horrible experience the bill came to $100+. Not worth the bad service and what we ordered at all. It was or first and last time coming here. Customer service is so hard to find these days, specially good one. I've never had such bad service anywhere in my 34 years of dining out. Being in the restaurant business myself for over 15 years , I'd never treat my customers the way they did or not let my staff treat anyone that way. We went to another restaurant after this because we were still hungry and wanted to have a nice night out. (( Our service at the next restaurant after this bad experience was beyond amazing , for half the price, six drinks later and yummy filling food, we were so happy we went somewhere else, again our first time being at the second place too )) I'll never recommend anyone here who wants a...
