I really didnt want to leave a bad review, everyone was so nice. But Ive been crying since I left. My first time in, I recieved a wonderful pedicure, massage, and facial. Thats what saved them from one star. Those services were fabulous. I was approached when I got there by their hair stylist who said she could, very confidently, get me back to my earth tone orange blended hair. My hair was always gorgeous. They offered me a "modeling discount" to get my hair done with them. I wish I could post pictures of what I asked for vs what I got. Like the lady who was getting her nails done said, I look like strawberry shortcake. Or maybe a firetruck. Anyways, its BAD. She tried to "add dimension" by putting "dark red" (its black) at my roots. I didnt know this would make me look like I dyed my hair red with manic panic and had natural black roots showing, but thats what it looks like. I look like I did this myself with instructions and products from hot topic. I always have fire-style hair, and people still ask "wow is that natural?" Now there will be no question. There will be fingers pointed and snickers. I cant explain enough how bad this dye job is, and she over lightened my hair so I cant safely fix it. She was cute as a button and adorably sweet, but she doesnt know how to dye hair so its really hard to post this review. I was there for 9.5 hours (which I was expecting) and when I was done, there was a mix up with my discount. First they tried to charge me full price, and I asked for a breakdown. I sat doing math on post it notes because they couldnt figure out their pos system. I had the correct numbers before them. I was required to put down 50% upon booking, and was never told that they either didnt run my card properly or something so they claim I didnt ever pay the 50%. So what I was expecting to walk in and pay $150 for was suddenly $300. I cant remember if I paid part in cash the first time I was there and I was given no paper or reciept. My hair is bad yall. Im gonna go cry for a few more days and then chop off over 3 feet of my pride and joy. I wish I could go back for the other spa treatments since they were AMAZING, but the hair color killed it and I no longer feel welcome after sitting and fighting for an extra hour over miscommunications in payment. At least its almost halloween, maybe I can get away with looking like an emo teenager from 2007 for a little while, since I definitely cant afford to get it fixed professionally now. Also, she kept telling me how she had a bacterial sinus infection that was killing her. Sis that sh** is viral, I am now sick as a DOG. The owner is very nice and worked to accomodate us as much as possible, even if she wasnt sure how to use the computer system...

Full review: We hosted a baby shower at Adara and it was an incredibly positive experience from the first phone call to the actual spa day. This was actually my first time visiting a spa so between that and having multiple guests to coordinate, I asked a ton of questions and Sunny, the owner, answered them all so patiently.
The day of the event, EVERYONE was so kind and helpful! Once they saw the vision they pitched in with set up and checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed. They even shared a few ideas of things we hadn't thought of.
The space itself is beautiful! Tastefully designed and decorated and the perfect size to accommodate multiple guests while preserving the intimate feel.
I got a 30 min facial, 30 min massage, and 30 min foot exfoliation. Each service was amazing. Nicole did a great job with my facial and my skin was glowing after! She gave me a chance to ask questions before and after the service, which I appreciated. And I need to make mention of the lip gloss used in the facial. It is high quality gloss and you will love it. They sell it on site.
Elizabeth did both my 30 min massage and foot exfoliation. Because of the time I booked I didn't expect much more from the massage than relaxation but I was wrong! She worked on the focus areas I mentioned and varied the pressure to get all the tension out. There's not much to be said about a foot scrub, othern than it was amazing and effective and my feet look great!
I wholeheartedly recommend Adara for anyone looking for a spa for some self care or an event like we did. I'm sure I'll be going...
Read moreMy experience getting a manicure at the spa was not great. As I sat down, the manicurist immediately began peppering me with questions. The conversation started to feel more like an interrogation at one point, making it difficult to relax into the experience. And as she began working on my nails, she insulted me, saying "no offense, but don't quit your day job" as she was working on my nails (mind you, this was my first experience at this Spa.) I had quickly removed overgrown tips, so my nails were pretty rough, I'll admit. But there was no need for her to insult a paying client, even jokingly. I'd originally gone in for a gel-X manicure, but upon seeing the nail tech struggle to get the tip on my pinky finger, I told her we should try a different manicure. We decided on a hard gel overlay, which the manicurist said was her specialty. But my manicure is very thick and lumpy. I paid full price for the gel overlay, which I found interesting considering the fact that I had to change the manicure type because the manicurist was so bad at gel. X. I feel like I should have at least gotten a discount due to the manicurist's incompetence. Needless to say, I will not be returning...
