Visited this place finally after 2 years of spotting this at Glenwood Avenue. Every time I passed by this place, there was always a huge queue waiting to get in. Little did I know that the queue was not for this place but the club next door. The day we visited, I called in early and booked a table. Since it was a Friday night, I anticipated that there would be wait times and needed a reservation. Shortly after I booked I got a text that said they don’t take reservations for tonight and cancelled it. Although disappointed, I was determined to go to this place today since it was planned as a pre-birthday celebration. Once we went there, we were able to get in swiftly without issues. As we walked in, we were blown by how big this place is and the name was apt as there was a garden themed first floor patio seating. They have various varieties of beers and each floor, patio and the backyard locations have a different collection which you will only be served if you are seated in that area. You can still go to other sections in this place and get the beers but it would take a lot of time to go back and forth considering how huge this place is. They have local beer in first floor, international on the second floor and rooftop, other varieties on the patio and backyard location. The backyard location also had some fun outdoor game area. The service is rather lacking here but that would be expected with so many people. My only complaint is that I ordered chocolate pudding for the birthday boy to be bought in at midnight which they told they didn’t have few mins before midnight and in front of him. Way to ruin a surprise ya’ll. Also, the food menu doesn’t have a lot of options if you are a vegetarian or vegan. The vibe and the ambience of this place is awesome and we are already looking forward to be back here again. Recommend it if you want to have a night out with friends and for the humongous selection of beers.

Recently, we visited Raleigh Beer Garden. Overall, it’s a pretty nice spot. I liked the concept—a lot of wood, a mini-golf area in the backyard, and it’s a huge place with three floors. Each of the first and second floors has different bars with a variety of beers, which is an interesting idea. One thing I didn’t like was the bartender on the first floor. She wasn’t rude, but her service seemed lackluster. When we arrived and scanned the menu, she didn’t mention that only a small selection of snacks was available and that the main menu was closed. We spent a good amount of time deciding on what to order, only to be abruptly told that the main menu wasn’t available anymore. We then started choosing beers, and again, she didn’t mention that the beers are different on each floor. It turned out that what we chose was only served on the second floor, but we didn’t want to go upstairs just yet, as we wanted to sit outside under the heat lamps. She also didn’t really make an effort to help us choose; I told her several times about the flavor I was looking for, and she simply directed me to certain sections of the menu without much guidance. The bartender on the second floor was much friendlier, even offering us samples of 3-4 different beers to help us decide. For food, we ended up ordering wings and corndogs, and the snacks were really tasty. As I understand it, this place is famous for being in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest variety of beers. This concept isn’t really my favorite because it means you spend a lot of time deciding. Either you take a chance and pick something randomly, or you spend time reading through the extensive beer menu, only to remember that there’s a whole other menu upstairs that might have something you like. I’d give this place 4 stars—it’s just my personal take.

Another dining stop we had during our brief stay in Raleigh was at the Raleigh Beer Garden. We actually had tried to go elsewhere, but a popup storm had us quickly changing plans to find a large indoor space for dinner. This place is so big that our party of ten was able to be seated right away just past 5 on a Saturday. We had a cool table with a fake tree growing out of the middle of it. There are two floors inside, an outdoor rooftop bar, and a large patio on the ground level. They claim to have the worlds largest draft beer selection, and there are plenty of choices for every style. The full list is online and includes over 300 options. Some of my wife's selections turned out to be pretty expensive, so watch what you order as prices are also listed. The food menu is not nearly as long as the beer list, but there is a wide variety of apps, wings, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and platters. I went with the North Carolina pulled pork sandwich with pickle on a brioche bun. This was served with fries and coleslaw ($10). This was a lot of food for a fair price as the sandwich was piled high and the fry cup seemed to be never ending. The taste was good and seemed fairly true to North Carolina style. My wife went with the firecracker shrimp platter with fries and coleslaw ($13). I think she jumped the gun on the shrimp order and should have waited until we were closer to the ocean to enjoy. She thought that these were not very fresh and she commented that she should have ordered something else. The kids enjoyed their burger and chicken tender meals ($5 with fries). Overall I was impressed by the beer selection and for the most part the food was enjoyable. The pork was a popular item in our group, as was the brisket and burgers.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would! Visiting from out of town and RBG came up on places to visit. I’ve been talking about this place since. Also, apparently they are dog friendly and have a dog menu lol! The decor is fantastic. Very rustic and classy. It is huge!!! Over 360 beers on tap and is a Guinness World Record! The prices are right where they should be, IMO, cheaper though. We sat upstairs and was greeted by an overwhelmingly nice young server, forget her name, who had so many suggestions. We started off with a cocktail each, Watermelon Cosmo $10 and a Peachy Palmer $11. Both were PERFECT and tasty. We ordered the deep fried beer battered pretzel $8 which came with beer cheese and beer mustard. It did not disappoint. For Lunch we had the Garden Cheeseburger $12 which was arguably the best Burger I’ve had in my 45 years. It was cooked perfectly and it was a double as well. We also got the Filet Medallions. It’s a crime to put Balsamic glaze on filet but it was pretty decent. We both decided to do flights. The Peach Crumbler under Sours was incredible. It tasted exactly like peach pie. Overall, I can’t say enough about the place. I wish this place was in NJ. I would definitely invest in one. Whoever’s vision this place was you did a hell of a job The staff were all friendly and it was a pleasure to experience. Hopefully I’ll be back next time I’m in the area. BRAVO!!!

Such a beautiful sunset. We got here on May 26 at 6:00pm, the picture was taken at 7:28 pm and I could not see across the table for a solid hour and a half. Currently leaving this review at 7:30 the sun has just started to go behind the trees. While the restaurant was busy there was a one table available to move to but the waitress never asked if we wanted to move. The waitress however did her job well, she was very friendly and her service was nothing to complain about. However, a few “5 oz” beers were ordered and upon receiving them at the table, some of it had spilled out. In fact, the “5 oz” glass is not 5 oz at all. Do your own experiment to confirm or deny my statement but in personal experience it was not what was advertised. It was not her fault, the glass was too small and she had to walk up a flight of stairs holding 5 drinks. Food was not great either. A burger and fries was ordered and it had absolutely no taste. No seasoning at all. The bread also was soaked. Note to the kitchen, toast the brioche bun and create a layer where the juices of the burger do not make the bottom bun a wet piece of bread. The fries where hot which was nice just no seasoning. The slider was ordered as well and same issue Too long didn’t read version: Get blinds, beer and waitress was good, season food better and get a glass that can hold 5 oz. Again, the waitress did nothing wrong
