Cancer didn't take most of my hair; a thyroid problem did. I have always felt self-conscience about the thinness and lack of hair that I have since being diagnosed forever ago. I avoided pictures as much as possible and I always spent a lot of time on my hair trying to make sure that none of my scalp was showing.
I always noticed other people's hair and a lot of times when I complimented them, I found out it was a wig, so I decided to look into getting one for myself.
Enter Gallery of Wigs. They made the experience fun. They had wigs that would fit my big head. LOL. I was able to try out new colors and styles. I found several wigs that were perfect for me. I always get compliments on my hair now. People want to know who colored or cut my hair or how long it takes me to get my hair to look like it does. I absolutely love it! The people who I tell I am wearing a wig always are totally shocked and want to touch my hair because they don't believe me. One person even asked me if I was sure I was wearing a wig. LOL
I highly recommend going to Gallery of Wigs to get a wig for any reason. My mom even got one after seeing me in mine just so she could have a different look or be able to look cute without having to spend a lot of time on her hair. She has a full head of hair - no health issues or hair loss.
Go in and find something fun and flirty! It is a great experience! They will also cut the wig for you if you need/want it. They do a wonderful job with that.
Sorry this is more like a testimonial than a review, but I want people in a similar position to mine to know that there are alternatives and...

Gallery of wigs was the first website that caught my interest. I had so many questions. I was given voucher with a list of wig shops. Listed in front of me was Gallery of wigs. It was fate. I wanted a shop that i could try on the wig and get exactly what i wanted. I looked up information. I had my wig figured out. My head size, mono, the cap, everything. I thought this was an easy peasy situation. I called to make myself an appointment at Gallery of Wigs. When i arrived for my appointment, they were so kind and patient. Picking out a wig is like getting that perfect haircut. You can't do that online. You have to see, feel and try on that wig. Some fit different than others. Some look cute and some don't. The ladies at Gallery of Wigs were amazing helping me find my perfect wig. It was so perfect that i took advantage of their special and bought two wigs! Same style different colors. Now i can feel like myself. They also suggested that I consider having my hair made into a halo! Which i am sending my hair to chemodivas...
Read moreI can't thank this incredible wig shop enough for the warmth and support they offered during a difficult time. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with such kindness and genuine care. I worked with Faye and Jessie and they took lots time with me, listening to my concerns and making sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. They were so patient as I tried on several styles, offering advice and encouragement without rushing me. They encouraged me to find what was best for me and continued to make me feel uplifted and like I could take the time that I needed to make this decision.
The entire experience felt like a comforting and uplifting escape. The team’s upbeat attitudes really made all the difference, and I left feeling so much more confident and positive about my journey. They don’t just sell wigs—they truly care about their customers. It’s clear they are here to help cancer patients feel beautiful and supported, not just during the wig shopping process, but throughout the entire experience.
I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of a wig or looking for support during their cancer treatment. Thank you again for making a challenging time so much easier and...
