Lack luster and sub-par "Asian" cuisine. It just feels and tastes like Burger King level of takeout chain. The service is pretty speedy (used Doordash), they gave me a cash refund for overcharging me, and food is pretty cheap. I would say another pro was the portion size but why would you want another meal of the same garbage. I'll save the extra buck next time. Also don't try calling, they'll answer and can't understand you and you won't understand them. Why even have a phone number listed.
Tried lots of things: rangoons=weird smooshed triangle pockets not very filled and very obviously frozen in bulk, seaweed salad=over sweetened and sauced but not the worst, Philadelphia roll=not as bad as expected after the apps but still imitation, and the hibachi=I didn't think anyone could really mess up hibachi but dang, couldn't even tell the difference between mushrooms and chicken, it was so bland. A few tiny pieces of broccoli and mushrooms, a couple onion pieces were the "vegetables." Even the white sauce wasn't good (how does that even happen?!)
I might try the teriyaki on another night just to give it a full review and keep an eye on when they close. I ordered an hour before close so I will be ordering earlier next time as it seems their kitchen shut down and gave me the leftovers.
Not really an advocate for bad mouthing, but I just don't know how this...
Read moreMy wife and I usually have good experiences here - The food isn't the top shelf but for the cheaper price it's all around not too bad. Yesterday we chose to dine in and we were a bit disappointed with our visit...The miso soup was an off shade of brown, almost burnt looking and it wasn't very tasty like it usually is but we shrugged it off and ate it anyway. I also ordered steamed pot stickers too (which are my favorite, I get them every visit) and they were over cooked and filled with hot water. They also forgot to charge us for an extra side of white rice (I never realized it) so they approached our table and asked us to come back to the counter and pay for it. After I left the table in the middle of our meal to pay for it they brought us fried rice instead, so I got up to pay for something I didn't even want. I usually don't complain, I work in food service myself and try not to be "that customer" but the pot stickers were so bad I asked for my money back and they shorted me...
Read moreIn all honesty, I've been here a lot. It's some of the best quality quick-service hibachi. However, the past several times I've called in an order, I've received TERRIBLE service, they're rude on the phone (and in person). Not to mention, I can't remember the last time I went where my order wasn't wrong. I've never received an apology, instead I've been treated like it's my fault they got my order wrong. When I asked for a receipt (because what they got wrong was easily more expensive than what I ordered) they began to scramble, and I just didn't have it in me to wait anymore, after already waiting an extra 10-15 minutes (after calling in the order) with no apology.
I'm not sure if it's bad management or bad hiring...but this place has quickly gone from my go-to place for take out to a place I'm going to avoid at all costs. It's unfortunate a place like this can treat customers poorly, and yet will still survive simply because of the small competition...
