I was visiting the store today around 2:30pm and there was three associates standing around taking who didn’t greet me. As I continued shopping, I proceeded to try on a pair of earrings and then an associate informed me that I wasn’t suppose to try on the earrings. Which is completely fine... however that was the first line of communication to a patron? There was no one else in the store as I shopped and the three associates carried on with their conversation.
I was certainly disappointed in the lack of customer service displayed in store. I wanted to purchase those earrings but I refused to honor such poor customer service. Their greeting( or lack there of) was ultimately a factor in my decision to leave the store. I purchased some earrings and a week later saw that my credit card had duplicate charges from Light Years. 4 calls later, they claim that even though they can see the duplicate charge in their system, they can't do anything about it. So, now I have to issue a formal dispute through my credit card company to get the duplicate charge removed and refunded. I did nothing wrong and yet I get the shaft for giving them business. I will never shop at Light Years again and would not recommend any of my friends shop there unless they want to be charged for something they didn't purchase and then have the headache of trying to get their money back. The first time I went to this location it was still pretty good like their sister stores. But after my third visit I have no desire to set foot in this particular one again. They ignored me upon arrival (which, I don’t care about being catered to—it’s literally bare minimum retail skill. ) and then proceeded to watch me shop like I was about to steal something?? Honestly last I was there your staff was just snooty and “bothered”. I can buy anything you sell online, so there’s zero reason to deal with your rude staff ever again.
