As much as I love the people who work here Danielle, Adam, And Christin it was a very bad experience today as I was running late for my appt. They did call to confirm I was coming and I was coming from another appt. I did get there within the 15 min grace period at 129 for my 115 appt. I then had to proceed for the 2 girls at the desk to check out one person and handle a call which is expected. As I then was told after they were able to greet me that they had to see if I could still be seen for my appt. Then the front desk assistant came and said she will see you now but there may be an extra fee since I was late. I said I was under the impression I wouldnāt be charged a fee if Iām within the 15 min which I was. This is not the first time the the staff at the front desk was rude and unprofessional and not very appreciative of return guests. Iām a regular at the spa and very loyal in consistently there on average once a month sometimes more throughout the year for massages, I bring friends here for services and I get Botox and an occasional facial.
The steam room has been broken for months and will continue to be broken til July I found out today as the last time I was here prior to Christmas I expected to use the facilities for the services that I rendered for massages and the sauna and steak room , and the steam room was broken again. I then questioned the staff upon leaving why the steamer was broken and they said itās been broken for a little while, and I said that I feel that the management should definitely let people know or there should be some sort of communication or discount done for this as a service that you were hoping to use is not working, Either when you are booking or in your information sent online or via text etc. It is very disappointing and does put a bad taste in oneās mouth for the facility when an amenity advertised and promised and there is no notification. For example, not getting their moneys worth for the surfaces rendered and the options for using the spa with your services that they give you for at least an hour to an hour and a half before or after your service. Today I found out that it did get posted on the website, but nothing was said in any of the reservations that I made for the spa tomorrow that the steam room will now be closed indefinitely until the Renovations in July. Anna, the head of the front desk staff was nice and really tried to make me understand that she was trying to be considerate of the guest behind me and that is why they commented on the tardiness for Christin , 2 appts a year I have with her. Mind you I come very often I have invested a lot of money into the spa and supported it as I am very local to the area for over 12 years. The way I was treated today makes me not want to ever come back. No discount has been given for any services booked or previously booked as the spa is not really utilizing all the amenities offered. And both times that the instances have happened with the front desk the manager is in the office to the side of the desk hearing everything and does not come out to approach it at all. I run three business businesses, and I would think that a courtesy of talking to someone who is obviously upset about something and or can hear that thereās issues would be the way to approach something instead of just staying in the office and not addressing it. Or following up with me when Iāve noted to improve the business and said as a suggestion things need to be done differently and communication needs to be better. Itās a shame I have to post this for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām genuinely surprised at all of the rave reviews of this spa. I had a facial and massage here over the weekend and found the entire experience to be lacking. Overall the providers were nice and did a decent job, however I still have 3 visible painful cuts on my forehead from where the esthetician dug into my skin and after telling me initially that my nose required extractions she did not perform any there. She used an enzyme mask that is known to sting on my face after I told her I had super sensitive skin which was raw from frequent showering. I wondered after she put it on if I would urgently need her to wipe it off and was panicking a little bit because it burned so much. It seems the āfully customizableā signature facial is the same routine regardless of skin type. I told the massage therapist I had a migraine from neck tension as well as lower back pain, and neither of these areas were focused on any more than my arms or legs. She kept insisting that I take deep breaths over and over while adjusting my body in a manner that felt jarring and rushed.
I found the decor to be sort of cheesy and starting to look worn (think purple pleather snakeskin wallpaper). The robes were soft and plush but the towels in the ladies room were way too tiny to wrap around your body to go into the sauna or steam room and the first shower I went into was missing shampoo and conditioner. The locker they assigned me had a broken keypad so I searched around and found one that worked. The sandals I was given made a squishing noise with each step like there was water stuck inside. Someone was nice enough to find a moisturizer sample for me since they do not keep any products in there, and my face felt very tight after my facial and shower. I tried to use the sauna but at 110° it was simply uncomfortable and not hot enough to be effective. The snacks in the waiting area included banana chips and something that looked like dry cereal along with tea and water. I thought I might sit and relax after my services but nearly all of the seats were filling up with people chatting and there is just one small lounge for men and women.
Thatās the full rundown, fair warning to set your expectations if you go! I was really hoping it would be somewhere I wanted to return often, however after spending a couple hundred dollars via gift card from my sweet husband Iād rather...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came into the spa a month ago to meet Katie and discuss my next few months of skincare in preparation for my wedding. She recommended 3 IPL laser face treatments to start, and gave me the cost of the package. I booked the first treatment which was a month out to suite her availability. Two days before my appointment I was called by the spa to move the appointment to the coming Saturday as Katie was no longer able to perform the treatment due to not being trained on the machine, and another lady would need to do the treatment. I was very excited to start my wedding skincare journey, and planned my Saturday around the appointment. When I got to the spa I was told they were running late, and waited 30 minutes to be seen. As the appointment started I was informed that they no longer had an IPL laser, and now can only do a BBL laser facial which worked out $500 per treatment which is what i was supposed to pay for 3 IPL treatments. The manager offered to have me pay the price of one IPL treatment for the first BBL, but then I would need to pay full price for the following two treatments totalling $1200.00. The aesthetician having to deliver this disappointing news to me was really sweet and tried to make me feel better. But ultimately I wasted a Saturday afternoon, fell 1 month behind on my skincare plan for my wedding and left feeling incredibly disappointed. I wish I had been communicated with and that it wasn't assumed I would just be able to suddenly afford a new treatment that costs double what I was budgeting for. Furthermore, they couldn't even offer to do another facial for me during my appointment as the next client was arriving. Just really sad about this whole thing. If you're planning to book a facial here just make sure you get the exact details of your appointment and triple confirm with them :(
the next day spas owner reached out to me and honored my original package quoted for, and gave a sincere apology as well as an explanation for the...
