Mission Valley Shopping Center — Local services in Raleigh

This shopping center is in a convenient location and has a lot of fun activities, shopping, and opportunities for charity. I usually get a refreshing beer on draft when I catch a flick at the movie theater, and the Ethiopian restaurant is very tasty and authentic, and if you're the giving type, there is usually a drugged-out beggar lurking in the stairwell that will make up some sob story before asking you for money. I don't usually fall for it, and personally I believe they should all be rounded up and summarily executed, but if you're of a less utilitarian mindset, then by all means, give away.

D.P. Dough is a another local treasure with a great variety of calzones; you can read my review on it for more details. Champions is cool place with a great open mic and colorful local personalities. As long as you stay within the operating boundaries the businesses, you won't be too affected by the free-loading parasites that litter the shopping center, and stand little chance of being stabbed and looted.

All in all a decent outdoor mall worth visiting, although if it had half as many (or maybe even fewer) smelly, strung-out panhandlers, it might be markedly...

Variety of shops here, split into two sections. Not a place like Cameron Village where you go just to walk and maybe check out some various trendy shops, more of a place that you go to with a purpose. Has a cheap and practical coffee shop aimed at the NCSU students, a few various cheap places to eat, an OK movie theater, and shops that the locals/students would have a use for like a record store, electronics repair, Papa John's, convenience store/bodega, but nothing you're going to want to drive...

This is our regular pizza joint! No gimmicks, good, classic pizza. The pizza is always hot, toppings fresh, size generous. They also have a great selection of beer and their appetizers (garlic knots, please!) are fresh batter fried goodness. The atmosphere is fun with music and game entertainment. The staff are excellent servers and put a small on your face, even when they're packed. P.S. I'm vegetarian, and I always find a good amount of options, and never had problems asking for...
