California dreaming pools — Local services in Ramona

I had an interaction with the owner Ken this morning that was downright rude, unnecessary and lends zero support to his website claims of customer service and family friendly service.

Ken came to clean the neighbors pool. The neighbor has room for about 8 cars / trucks in their driveway. Instead of Ken parking in the customers driveway or on the main street, Ken chose to park behind my driveway and make it difficult, if not impossible, for us to exit our driveway while his truck was parked behind it.

As the Neighbors had just moved in, I assumed that he'd be back and apparently didn't know he was 1) parked in a NO parking Alleyway; 2) blocking us in which could result in damage to my vehicle or his; and 3) it's garbage day and our garbage and the neighbor's garbage would not be picked up while his truck was blocking and parked in the NO parking alley.

I'm not sure what was wrong with Ken today, but he literally said "I call Bullshit" that this is an alley and that I can't park here - and insinuated - you should be able to maneuver out of your driveway.

I've lived here for 12 years. The Alley is not a public street because it is not WIDE enough to be a public street. It is a no Parking Alley. When I suggested he actually park in the neighbors driveway - which had PLENTY of room - he asked if he was "allowed" to park in their driveway????

Given the choice of parking behind a someone's driveway - potentially setting him and us up for accidental damage to our vehicles or actually parking in a clients driveway - his choice was to swear at me, basically call me a liar and be exceedingly rude....

Yep - this is a guy who takes customer service...

Ken, owner of California Dreaming Pools, is amazing! I hired Ken, to service my pool, about a year ago. I have used a couple other companies in the past, and my pool has honestly never looked as pristine as it does when I hired him. He does a top-notch job, every single week. The work is very consistent. There are a lot of companies, that get lazy overtime, are in and out in about 10 minutes, and it doesn’t look like anyone cleaned it. I love that every week when Ken has finished cleaning my pool, I get an email sent, with a picture of the work he did on the pool, assuring his work. Recently, I had a bit of a hard time financially, so I asked him if we can cut back on his services, he takes his job, and business to such a high standard, that he continued the full service on my pool, so I didn’t have any further problems. I was also delinquent, and he decided to comp a couple months for me until I caught up. I’ve never had a company ever, to do something as generous as that, or even care for that matter. Can doesn’t see clients as just money in the bank, he is such a honest and kind person.
