My husband and I tried Off The Plancha recently while they were at the La Jolla Open Aire Market. We were intrigued by the Mexican & Japanese fusion and ordered the carne asada yakisoba. It took less than 5 minutes for our order to be prepared and it looked and smelled amazing! We actually took it home to enjoy and it stayed piping hot until we got home and it was delicious. I cannot tolerate heat from spices and they assured that it was flavorful, not spicy. They were right! The lime provided complements the dish really well. The carne asada was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the noodles. It was a large enough portion for us to share and I thought pricing was reasonable. Service was great and the guys were all friendly. They even gave our dog a treat! Highly recommend checking out Off The Plancha.

Tried this at a farmers market and was pleasantly surprised! I couldn’t decide between the carne asada and the chicken adobado yakisoba and was told I could mix the two so that’s what I ordered. GREAT umami flavor! The sour of the lime, sweetness of the pineapple chunks, spice and salt of the meat was a great topping for the noodles. This was also a large amount of food so I definitely recommend getting this to share and if you’re hungry since it won’t reheat or stay fresh long due to the mixture of ingredients. The only downside is because the food is so heavy and it’s in a tray it was hard to hold and was soaking through. Overall great portion size, great flavor & freshness! Would definitely eat again

Your combination of Mexican/Japanese I would frequent with guest!!! I needed a little salt to just kick ignite all of the spices/flavors but outside of that an easy 8.5-9…only bc I could have used an egg roll😋 compliment. Your presence was simple and sweet…not too much or too little which allowed for an EXCELLENT dish of experience for my tastebuds…Adobado chicken was tender, yellow/red peppers w/pineapple-GRT addition and OMG the noodles (I was so happy you allowed for extra😋😋😋)were cooked perfectly!!! Can’t wait to return…just an awesome job👍🙌
