A middling experience with some highs and some lows. Starting with the food. Thos location is serviced food wish from the middle eastern restaurant next door that the share an open walkway between the two with. The American cheeseburger on happy hour deal is great and well priced. The Hummus, though, is the real gem. I had 2 portions of hummus, and I want more. Falafel's were a rad over cooked but still pretty good. Pizzookie, whatever that cookienin a pan is was meh. The service was excellent. Great wait, staff, and they even let us have our own tv to watch the Wnba game during the padres game. So big props to that. Sound was turned off in favor of the padre game, which isn't unreasonable, but almost no one was there for the padre game. Atmosphere is the downside I felt. For a press box theme, the design was more modern high class bar than press box themed sports bar. There are a few pictures of great moments in sports but not a cohesive theme. The partnering of a Middle Eastern restaurant, although convenient, doesn't add to the press box element. A rebranding would help define the experience as what it appears to be in name, and expectations are not what you get. With a name like press box and sports lounge you expect casual bar featuring all American food and casual drinking immersed in sports. What you get is a decent restaurant with an attached bar, great wine selection, that happens to have some sports tvs and pictures on the wall. The other downside would be price. It's decent food but a few dollars of over what it should be. It makes up for it with happy hour specials, but those should really be the regular price, not the discount. All and all good experience I would go back for that hummus and if I was in the area and needed a bar it's a good choice.

My family and I are on vacation in the San Diego area and my daughter reccomend this place from tiktok. It didn't disappoint one bit, great service by all the staff! Happy hour specials are great! Me and family of 4 ate and had water and lemonade for $48. I left a $20 tip. The portions are generous as we ate like kings, we ordered the trash can nachos , the baked pretzel, and 12 wings which we happen to be there on a Wednesday which was 75 cent each wing. Those wings were bombski! We had the sweet heat flavor. Ceasar salad freshly made. It was a 45 minute drive from my hotel as it was traffic hour but it was all worth it.👍

I really love this place 😍 lots of seating but be prepared it should be allowed inside. They have great specials every Monday through Friday for food and drink. And they're $10 steak anytime is yummy and affordable. It's a small parking lot shared by many other businesses but I've always been able to find parking. I went on a Thursday night and tried their well priced and good tasting Buffalo slider 👍 and enjoyed one of their end-of-the-keg craft beers at $4 a pint. I highly recommend!!

We have been going here since it opened a couple of years ago. We used to go at least once a week, but now only go about every other week. They went through some management changes, it appears, over the past year & a lot has changed. The quality of the food has gone down significantly, but most is still tasty.

My biggest complaint is the server DANA, she is so unbelievably WORTHLESS! The first time she served us she was so elusive that I had to go to the bar & place my own refill orders & we literally had to holler to get her attention for the bill, not once did she stop to see if everything was ok. Then today, I asked for extra sauce on my sliders, when they came they had NO sauce so I asked for extra. About 5 minutes went by and she was at the bar just chatting with the bartender & I went & asked to get my sauce, she said they don't come with that anymore... Could she not have informed me when I placed the order with extra & then after it was delivered & asked for extra she should have told me then but no...she said sure & walked away, only to have me chase her down (when my friends were nearly done with their food) to find it doesn't come with the sliders anymore. Then she was Ms "I'm so righteous" saying sorry it wasn't my fault, etc... etc... The only thing redeeming about our visit today was that one of the NEW chefs/Kitchen staff came out to apologize & had made me some of the sauce, I didn't get his name, but he also had to come out of the kitchen to seat people because DANA just couldn't be bothered! So Kudos to new guy in the kitchen! Next time we want to go to Press Box, I can assure you that if DANA is there we will...

The beer selection at Press Box is probably one of the best in E. County (is Rancho San Diego considered E. County?) next to Main Tap in El Cajon. The food and drink menus are also extensive. A lot of good grub to choose from and everything seemed to be quality eats. The decor, furniture and ambiance was very comfortable.

We went with the Buffalo Chicken Fries and the Kobe sliders. I thought the sliders were very good, but you only get 3 of them...wish there were more. The fries were really tasty as well, but they were DRENCHED in buffalo sauce. I never get heartburn, but I felt it later that night for sure. I would recommend getting the buffalo sauce on the side if they'll let you do so.

I thought the service seemed very inattentive which is reason for the 3 star rating. They seemed to have plenty of servers on hand, but some of them just seemed to be standing around or folding napkins (tend to your customers...the napkins will be okay). It took way too long for them to come take our drink order and then another long wait just to get the drinks and finally order some eats. The food didn't take to long to come out however. I like places that are attentive, ask you if need anything, make recommendations, etc. often and this place didn't do that.

I'm sure I'll go back sometime, but at least now I'll know what to expect in terms of service...the food and beer will make it worth the...
