Crumbl — Restaurant in California

My boyfriend and I came here on Saturday around 8:00pm to pick up some cookies we both had ordered through the app. We are both love Crumbl but typically go to the Crumbl in Santee because we’ve both had great customer experiences at that location. Tonight was not a good experience. After ordered our cookies we came into this location standing in front of the cashier. The woman working did not greet us or ask us for our orders. She simply looked at us then walked away. I then told her we have pick up orders. She couldn’t figure out the orders and for some reason couldn’t speak. Another Crumbl employee came up to help her and had told us they weren’t ready. We decided to wait outside till they were done. As we were waiting for the cookies no one came outside to let us know they were done. Normally when you go to Crumbl they open the box to show you your cookies. She did not do this. We drove all the way home to find out they had given us the wrong cookies and that some of them were completely melted. When you spend $5 on a cookie it should not look like that. We then decided to go back and get a refund.. The Crumbl employee at the front that helped us with our refund was absolutely amazing. He was very apologetic and had amazing customer service. We live close to this Crumbl but would much rather drive to Santee for the cookies and customer service at that Crumbl. This isn’t the first time we have had issues with this location either....

I showed up asking for my order and was told my order wasn’t in the system. After showing her my order on my phone the order magically popped up on their system. This makes me believe they didn’t want to fulfill my order from the beginning. Then I’m told my order was not be done till closing time (hour long wait for chocolate chip cookies?) There was 1 other order in queue other than mine so how is it that they can’t keep this item in stock? Also why accept my order if they don’t have the item in stock? Why take my order and have me drive 25 minutes away to this location for me to have to wait another hour for an order that was confirmed and even confirmed as ready to be picked up? Terrible customer service, terrible attempt at keeping items stocked, terrible at updating your systems for items that are unavailable. I believe these employees just simply did not want to have to bake more cookies and fulfill orders that HAVE ALREADY BEEN PLACED AND CONFIRMED TO BE READY FOR PICK UP. Terrible customer service I was offered a refund only at first because these employees didn’t want to bake anymore? A hour and a half before closing and they don’t want to bake anymore what a joke. At least be better at updating your app so people like myself don’t drive from far to show up and have to wait an absurd time. Unprofessional and honestly makes me want to stop coming to...
