BMW was actually cheaper for repair. These other reviews are for oil changes and basic services that you could do at home (like Benz āservice aā).
I knew I had an aux battery issue. Paid a diagnostic fee to tell me the same. Was quoted $2400 for battery alone, and had to wait because they had to get delivered to bmw via ground. Another 500 to install and register. Plus tax.
BMW had the battery for sale for $1800. Thatās $600 less [from Roxbury bmw, down the street]!
But, I actually have an account with bmw and got it for less than that. And Ramsey had one in stock because ordered for a shop that never picked it up.
I came to A2B with battery WITH receipt FROM BMW still in the FedEx box to bmw with packing slip. They wouldnāt install it. Canāt trust a part I bring lol but I couldnāt wait 2wks [just to pay way more]! Iām sure for āinsurance purposesā they wanted to make that extra $1200 for āretail priceā of that battery and pretend just charging small install fee
Thatās ok, $500 was fee to install and register a battery. My autel diag tool costs less than that and registers batteries, even the 48v in my bmw.
Guess Iām glad I only paid the $250 to tell me what I already told them was wrong.
Iāll be changing my aux battery myself and save $2k plus at least 2wks wait time. Or I could have went to bmw itself and still saved about a grand.
Canāt see how this place is cheaper other than for basic services (the things bmw shops profit mostly on but can literally get done ANYWHERE for cheaper). This is more a mod/tuning place for euro cars Iām sure thatās where they excel is in motor sports.
Euro car in Morristown works on just bmw and are way way better priced and been doing this for longer than most us lived
**UPDATE my car runs great. Bimmertechinfo gave me the actual bmw repair instructions (for 24hrs access) for just $32. Replaced it the way bmw would themselves. Took less than 2hrs...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you own an Audi/VW you need to work with Billy and team. I was advised by 2 Audi dealerships (Newton/Parsippany) that my 2012 Audi could not be fixed and an entirely new engine was needed at a cost of $15k. I got a second opinion with an independent shop in Sparta who confirmed the dealerās assessment of needing an engine replacement. They would try to source a used engine for $10k but no guarantee as there is an āAudi engine shortage ā. At this point I was considering selling my Audi, but my co-worker who had his A4 modified recommended I contact A2B for another opinion, especially since I really didnāt want to sell my Audi. Billy assured me the engine could be fixed at a cost less than half of what the dealership would charge me. My Audi now runs as good as new and there were no surprises in the cost of fixing the engine. I now bring my Q5 for service and maintenance to A2B. Seriously, these guys are pros. They offer great customer service and are reasonably priced for the quality of work and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA2B is my preferred shop for tuning and repair work on my mk7 golf. The most or rather all work outside of lube/brakes and the easy plug and play parts was done by Billy and his shop, with adequate communication starting from the quote, and going deep enough into parts and services specifics, viable alternatives, expected gains, breaking in, aftercare etc Work was always done in a timely matter, barring parts or supplies issues outside of their control. Overall care for my car was always adequate, and any concerns or inspection point were carried out with appropriate feedback. I trust Billy and his team with my car as they always did it right by me and my standards.
