Le Spa — Local services in Readington Township

This is the first review I have ever written. I have gone for 2 sessions which were good (first time she tried to overcharge me which could have been a complete error). After my second appointment I wanted to book my third one which would be before my wedding and asked if she had any recommendations for any specific facials. SHE scheduled my appointment and said she would give me a good deal since its a special occasion. I arrive to my appointment and immediately she starts making me feel VERY uncomfortable - making remarks about why I booked it this way normally it costs a lot more. also remarks such as "well you need to have a facial to do an add on" I wasn't exactly sure what she was talking about since she made my appointment but she kept repeating herself in a demeaning angry tone and all I could say was "okay" and "well i'm not sure I thought you made the appointment and were accomodating me (voluntarily) and BOOKED the appointment herself for me. She reported "well I see so many clients I can't remember that" she kept making me feel like I did something wrong and thought she would be doing me SUCH a favor accomodating me WHEN SHE MADE THE APPOINTMENT. So i just said okay (feeling uncomfortable but still wanted my facial) so I laid down to get ready and she continues to reprimand me trying to make me feel like I did something wrong! It was incredibly unprofessional and I have never felt more uncomfortable in a situation. I really needed a facial but I felt too uncomfortable to stay. This whole conversation I was trying to let it blow over but she made it last 10 MINUTES before I had to step out because of discomfort. I was being very calm throughout it all but could not sit there for a whole hour having her make me feel uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend making an appointment here. The prices may be a little cheaper than other places but...

We are from Texas and my teen daughter decided to order me a gift card for my birthday from our local spa which has the same name. She accidentally logged into this webpage and ordered me a gift card for $125. When she realized it was from New Jersey we contacted the owner and explained what had happened and kindly asked for a refund. She refused stating she had gone out of her way and spent $15 for shipping plus credit card fees. I told her that she could deduct the $15 off plus the credit card fee and she did not respond nor has refunded anything back. Now I have a gift card that I will never use. Even though I’m not promoting this business I’m happy to ship this gift card to anyone interested.

P.S. In response to the owner’s comment. First of all, we are not scammers, and you are definitely not a victim in this situation. This is an honest review, not a scam and I have legit proof. Second of all, if my daughter was aware of the mistake, as you stated in your post. Why would we go through all this trouble? Your comment simply does not make sense. Thirdly, I’m not trying to exploit this or any business, everyone has the legal right to post an honest review of their experience and this is an honest review and you know it. Finally, could you explain in which way or manner are we trying to “rip” your business? You were the one that kept my daughter’s hard earned money, And refused to refund any amount of the $125. This has been a sad experience and I truly hope no one else has to go...

She continually educates herself on all aspects of skin care and keeps up to date on the latest & greatest in the industry. Lauren has always been able to answer my personal skin care concerns with a clear educated explanation.Additionally, she always suggests good techniques for continued home care which is so very much appreciated! Le Spa is a very comfortable and serene facility. When you are there, you know you are being cared for by the best in a beautiful tranquil space. Thanks Lauren for all the years of excellent service!
