Trends Vintage Marketplace & Co — Local services in Redding

I love Trends it’s my favorite store in all of Redding . Sadly two things I have seen lately that has my not wanting to go there any longer . The lack of antiques. Most items are made to look it but sadly are not . The price tag would have you believe it is though . I have seen some of their items at Joanne’s and tj maxx and they will sale them here for double he price . What can I say I’m a shopaholic . I also looked up some of the items I bought in stores and what a bummer to see I over paid three times for something that was not old at all . I love homemade items this I believe should be more ! Really if your going to display a Joanne’s item thats 75 percent off , then raise the original price by twice ... seems sketchy . I will say the prices have also increased as I have so many items from this store . Sadly I believe many of the booths want way more for items then it’s worth . I went there today and was sadden by the cheap decor items with prices so outrageous . I get Covid has costed us a lot but not to the point of ripping off customers . I don’t blame the owner she has no say . There are so gorgeous pieces there but again if it’s an antique it’s either broken or not in good condition . The pieces that stood out to me were full of rust or again broken . I don’t mind paying 600 dollars for a bed frame but from the 90s is that really the kind of antique that is worth that much? I personally think 90s decor is still not highly sought after but that’s just my opinion. I think it should be known as a more of a flea market then...

Very rude people. Unless they know you , you get no greeting. No kind words. I walked that whole store looking for something for my Grandma and not a single person who worked there talked to me. Even when I was ready to check out (ONLY CUSTOMER) one of his friends showed up and he began talking with her while I was still waiting to check out. She had to point me out to him!!! I come to visit Trends every few weeks. We're in the midst of a remodel and I'm looking for very unique things. I made a vanity our of an antique sideboard, it's perfect! And the prices are fantastic, I got a bargain compared to anywhere I've looked in the larger cities. I also love to stop by when I need inspiration or if I have company who love to shop!
