After some research, calling AAA speaking to AAA representative to verify 3 diamond rating despite less expensive Best western and other neighboring Hotels I decided on this one for our 6 night extended stay and I must say despite the excellent staff I was extremely disappointed! My review is as follows Hospitality items 1-3 = 1 Star 1. On day #1 : I asked 3X for extra pillows and was denied stating They didn't have any extra = Strike 1 I'm paying over 177.00 per night and NO extra pillows ? Seriously? 2. On day # 1/2 I asked for microwave as I have medical need and was denied stating they had one in lobby. I need in room for my medical needs not in lobby! Strike 2 3. Day 1/2 They had nice marble round table (shown on their website) with 2 chairs. We are a family of 3 and needed one as indicated on their website and again was denied! This would indicate "false advertising" we personally never seen any in either our room or the rooms we happen to pass by they claimed they had some in other rooms but not ours and no extra for our room ! Strike #3 So staff friendliness is just ā€œfakeā€ they appear nice but denied all requests! to make matters worse! 4. Cleanliness = 1 Star The rooms where not clean very dusty and we found old baby sock under chair with lots of dirt underneath and hidden as well as counters and the floors where so dirty the bottom of my socks where black ! They only cleaned our room 1X the 6 nights we stayed and didn't ask us if we needed anything ! NOT EVEN AT CHECK OUT ! If our stay was good or not! Under chair was sooo very dirty and who knows how long that sock was there! 5. Breakfast = 1 Star Was horrible and doesn't reflect the C.R. Cribs or Best western Hilltop reputation or diamond rating on any level. It was the same every day . Runny watery eggs, burnt potatoes, sausage and French toast. Greasy bacon. They always started putting food away 45-1 hr before breakfast ends and I've seen them use towel to quickly wipe up syrup on floor leaving floor sticky for others to track on their shoes and didn't seem to care . The staff was not very friendly and rude! The selection of breakfast was absolutely horrible especially for C.R. cribs and Even for a best western. 6. Room = 1 Star Very small and extremely compact! Coffee maker in bathroom and toilet was so close to door you could not open if someone using! Not made for long stay ! Unfortunately I would NOT stay there again and would not recommend for longer stays ! P.S full disclosure: they have you signed and/or initial places in case you need medical attention, If they smell cigarette smoke (We don't smoke at all ) where if they wanted to could falsely charge you 250.00 if at their discretion smell cigarette smoke. So in reality if someone out side smokes and they lingers into your room you get charged ! They claimed that would never happen but who knows? If you refuse to sign you could find yourself scrambling to find another hotel at last minute! Be for warned!

The gentleman who checked us in deserves all of the praise for his outstanding customer service. I am honestly frustrated I cannot remember his name because I would love to give him the recognition he deserves. Pleasant, welcoming and absolutely the person who you want greeting you after a long day's drive. That man alone deserves 5 stars. Other pros of this hotel: very convenient location right off I-5, great for the pass through traveler. Pet friendly and what's even nicer is that they have ground floor rooms that open right to the outside AND they have a pet area right outside for the rooms in the back (and where I assume most pet traveling owners will be roomed). Coffee available in room, in front lobby and in restaurant where breakfast served. The area is local to reasonably priced gas stations (a rarity in some California locatioms!) and other nice restaurants if interested. The restaurant in the hotel is highly rated (although this is just general commentary of what I had heard, was not there long enough to enjoy dinner). Water pressure was GREAT. The cons and reduction for one star: because of the design, unfortunately, it is not as quiet as I'd like. I get it, you have to sacrifice noise for the convenience of opening right to the parking lot, but that doesnt make it any quieter to the outside noise and highway. There has to be a way to get both. The breakfast was standard and limited and only okay/lukewarm despite us going in just after breakfast opened. Also breakfast started at 630 am which was a little surprising (doors were locked prior) - we were trying to get a really early start on that day'slong drive, but wanted to enjoy breakfast. Slight frustration that breakfast didn't start at 6 am. Overall, would absolutely stay again.

First off staff was super friendly and professional, like all BW Plus hotels I've stayed at. They must do great training and hiring. Lobby is nice. The restaurant is nice too. The building though is an ancient old motel with a remodel. My room was right by I5 and there are NOT double pane windows. Those rooms on that side need that upgrade. The sun and noise was irritating. I was working 12 hour days there and had a difficult time trying to sleep. The room itself is decently done but when I went to take a shower somebody's nasty old soap was still there. Disgusting. I bought some cold dinner at the nearby grocery store. When I went to microwave it I found there is no microwave. I tried to call the front desk but couldn't. Maybe my fault or the confusing phone. Idk. So I walked the quarter mile in 105 degree heat. She said there is a microwave in the laundry room. It's 105 and the laundry room was about 120 and humid. It was a sauna. 5 minutes later I carried my food back drenched in sweat. Seems like a cheap microwave would be a worthwhile investment for a hotel. The free breakfast was actually great. Staff there was also great. TV was great, bed was OK. Still creeped out about the used soap. That means they probably didn't clean the bathroom at all. Oh well. FWP. I might try this place again but will insist on a room not facing the sun and I5.

Due to Front Desk error, we were locked out of our room - me and my child, in a remote corner of a giant hotel complex in a strange city. I have a shattered ankle and can't walk to Front Desk, which is about a football field's length and two stories away. Driving around would mean re-loading all of our bags back in the car first -- so I called the number on the key card to ask Front Desk to send someone with a new card or to let us in. I was told I was lazy and why didn't I walk myself, then I was told to send my 9 year-old by himself through the outside corridors next to the parking lot and down two flights of stairs, in a strange city, right next to the Interstate - then I was laughed at, and told I was being difficult, and after 20 minutes of begging I gave up and limped to the Front Desk. Front Desk manager Rosie told me if I was unhappy with how they handled it I was "free to stay elsewhere." Ironic, or just sad, because night before -- when Rosie was not around - the staff were stellar and my son said, "We should go on Yelp and tell people how great this hotel is!" We were on our way back to the hotel to do just that when Rosie's mistake had locked us out. She admitted her error but never apologized for it, and added after I told her I had a shattered ankle, "My ankle gets sore, too." So sad one person can spread so much misery. My son said, "Rosie's one of those women who is mean but smiles when she's angry." So in fairness, we give it four stars when Rosie isn't around -- but call ahead to make sure she's not on duty. Her role isn't clear - she lead me to believe she was the Hotel Manager because I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager and there was no one above her. However, when I took pen and paper and started writing things down, she "remembered" that she wasn't actually the manager and she did have a supervisor, who may or may not be the Hotel Manager because she wouldn't give me his last name or his phone number I can't give it five stars when Rosie isn't around because of the freeway noise another person wrote about. So loud it woke me up the first night throughout the night, and I am the world's heaviest sleeper. Our whole room was rattling -- I'm from the Bay Area and at first I thought we were having a small earthquake or S-wave because the room was moving so much. Then I thought the guests next door were operating some kind of loud medical equipment or machinery - then I realized it must be I-5 which is right next door. We are in wing of the complex close to freeway but not immediately facing. We didn't complain because the first night people were so friendly - good service is hard to find and we put up with a loud freeway if we're treated...

On July 11th my wife and I we stayed in this hotel for one night. The price was on the high side but we took it. We went to the restaurant to have nice dinner, my wife asked the waitress if they have peach or raspberry tea, the waitress said no we don't have, the only cold tea we have is the regular ice tea. So we ordered our dinner 2 fish and chips plates and 2 ice tea drinks, then 5 minutes later the waitress came in and asked us how's the food? My wife told her the ice tea it doesn't taste good, so the waitress offered her frish glass of strawberry ice tea, my wife said ok al take that but the waitress said you have to pay for it it's not free to exchange the original ice tea. we asked the waitress why don't you tell us that you have strawberry ice tea instead of saying we don't have other flavors only the original. That's 5 point down šŸ‘‡ so we didn't get the strawberry ice tea. The fish and chips and fries was tooooo greasy its like you just take them out of the fryer. So the food was poorly cooked and the service was poor and the price was higher then the taste. The hotel room was to noisy from the freeway traffic that we could not sleep, and on top of all that the shampoo in the shower it's empty no shampoo. At the time of checkout next day I asked the lady on the front desk to change our room for the day when we're coming back from vacation staying in quieter room on the other side of the hotel away from the I5 freeway she said of course I can do that but you have to pay an extra $30.00 + tax for quieter room. So my room won't up from $168.55+tax to $198.55+taxes= $222.77 just to change room from one side to other side and it's not on the same day it's for 11 days later on 07/22/2024 And on top of all that the TV in the room keeps turning of every 10 minutes. I called the front desk and the lady said I can send someone to fix it for you or you can unplug the black wire in the back for a minute then plug it back and you will be ready/ok. I did all of her instructions it worked for 10 minutes and started turning off again and again and again and again then we give up on the TV and we played in our phones. We been staying in Best Western hotels every time we travel never have any issues like this before until this time. We will never ever stay in this hotel location again. This is the first and last time for us. And for all these reasons I give this...
