My followers will remember that I eat vegetarian food on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am always looking for good places where I can avoid meat. While this business does offer a few items with chicken, it primarily fits the bill for me. The store is brightly lighted and very clean. The four stars for Atmosphere are due to the rather bland approach to decor. I was greeted immediately upon entering and I was pleased to see that the attendant washed his hands right away. As a first-time customer, he provided a brief explanation of the ordering system. He was friendly and courteous the entire time, although no one asked me how I was doing during my meal, which I ate inside. I chose the Fabulous Falafel Salad ($13.75) and a 12-oz bowl of Broccoli Cheddar Soup ($5.49). The lettuce was clean, cold, and crisp. The mixture included pickled red onions, where I would have preferred pickled turnips for greater authenticity. The scoop of hummus was generous but, unfortunately, it was cold. Hummus should be served at room temperature. The falafel balls were also cold and this is just wrong. Falafel should be eaten warm. The salad was covered in something they call "pita croutons" which looked and tasted like they had been fried. I would much prefer triangles of fresh pita bread. The lemon tahini dressing was watery and did not have much tahini seasoning. The soup was hot and tasted good. The bits of carrot was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the soup was too thin, the broccoli was too finely chopped, and the cheese was not thick enough. The soup is a good effort but the recipe needs to be tweaked. Finally, for a place offering healthy eating options, the cold beverage selection is dominated by Coke products and (mostly) sugar-sweetened teas, with only three brands of water. So, this place is a nice alternative among a field over-crowded with burgers and fried food, but they need to work on their ingredients and preparation, at least for the two items I sampled. I will definitely be back and choose a few other items next time. For now, Bite Better is merely...
Read moreI have to say that I tried all their soups so far. I asked if they were made from scratch and in my opinion they were very good 12 fl oz. Of soup for $6 is good. The ingredients "weren't"skimpy. The dressing was just enough. Standard measurement of dressing 4 oz : 4oz composed salads. Maybe just a bit more fl oz. For me but it was enough to enjoy. The salad had to have weighed way more because I got a bite of all the ingredients until it was gone. Chinese chicken salad. The super food salad looked as if all the ingredients were still there after my friend stopped because he was full. Quinoa, Brocolli avocado all the good stuff. This is not a complaint this is a compliment.👏 Soups were deliciously made I didn't have to add salt but I always like a lot of b.pepper in mine. It's still delicious without it. I bought all the soups to try: Tomato, Brocolli cheddar and the Lentils. Good spot for lunch didn't take forever. You can also customize your salad. Good people good food Thank you..clean...
Read moreI used to frequent here when they first opened until they changed their size choices and prices and kept messing up my sandwich order. But after a long while I tried them since I was hungry for something better and wanted a fast spot. Sandwiches are sooo good, more cheese than meat but the grill butter they put is so good on the sourdough. Delicious dressing Pretty fresh veggies Not a huge salad, but nice to get good toppings on it. Falafel was deliciously seasoned but was not fresh tasting (dry and cold inside and most out) Overall an expensive salad with good nutrients, but I won't/can't eat here often or at all with those prices. When you're trying to eat better on a run this is a good spot, but be ready to spend about $20 on a salad with light protein, a side of falafel and a worker who lacks friendliness and seems...
