I moved to central Oregon back in September (I know I'm sorry) and I have been trying to find things to do to meet new folks and get out of the house. I had not tried archery since I was in grade school and after a bad car accident in 05' I figured I never would again. After walking into TopPin and talking with them I know now that bows have changed enough that it's a possibility!
First off, Justin was very kind, understanding and extremely helpful! He took some time to talk me through some options and even got two bows set up for me to test out.
On top of that he answered all of my questions and got me in contact with their trainer Beth... I called on my way out the door and set an apt up with her for the next day.
Let me just say that Beth was such a wonderful person to work with as well! We spoke through my concerns and started from the ground up. We spent an hour working through the basics and some shooting and with the help of some deep-blue (doterra pain rub) my shoulder felt pretty good all things considering. Further to her lesson she gave me some other bows to look into that may work for my situation.
I also met the owner as well and he was a very polite individual; I had the feeling he's a little shy and quiet until he gets to know you but I heard his little sense of humor popping out.
In the end (and I know this is long); I can't wait for this weekend to get some practice in and I can't wait for my next lesson with Beth! I am so happy I...
Read moreThe crew at Top Pin Archery are, "Top Pin" in my book. While I was able to set up my own first bow "pretty well" myself these guys were able to replace my bow string after I abraded it with my release (noob mistake) as well as dial in my site and can timing. Went from a questionable shot to confident one for a great price. I will definitely be coming back for any and all of my archery needs. The indoor range is an amazing added bonus to this shop and is a great value @ $5 a day (with own equipment but they also rent equipment if you want to test out the latest and greatest to buy or just have a shot with a friend). In my opinion you can disregard the few negative reviews as while I was there, they treated every customer equally, and everything was handled in just time. Justin the owner even helped me while he was waiting on hold with a vendor and working on finding something for another customer. That was great service in my book! I am honestly stoked to find a local pro shop like this, and look forward to coming back to fire a few downrange...
Read moreHighly recommend! Shopping for my 1st bow, and went into the shop feeling a little nervous. Hung around waiting at first to get helped. Observing and listening, You could tell they had their store well put together and the customers walking in had faith in their services and expertise. Noticed A large selection of inventory even during the start of bow hunting season.
I was assisted by a young man named Wade, this 18 year old had the knowledge, and patience to work with me through this daunting task of fitting a bow to me. Making sure I was comfortable with the bow and process. Great experience!
After determining which bow, they were able to get it outfitted with great accessories, and tuned/sighted it as well.
