La Frontera Bakery — Restaurant in Redmond

My favorite bakery in town! We decided to order our girls their bday (3 leches) cake here. We’ve only had there pastries and we figured they’d be just as delicious. When we ordered the cakes we got to meet with Luis since he was the one that would be making the cakes. We asked him if he could make a couple of things from the catalog and he said yes. We tweaked a few things here and there because they didn’t have some of the cake toppers. We also ordered a simpler cake with cat prints and he agreed. Luis called me a few hrs before the pickup time to let me know that the princess that we had agreed upon was not available but that wasn’t a big deal to us. We ended up with Cinderella. When we picked up the cakes they were both lopsided. You can see it on the pics. I was terrified that they were gonna be ruined on the way home or when we transferred them on to the cake stands. We were extremely gentle with them and thankfully it did not happen. We were happy with the princess cake overall including the details he put into it to make it look like a castle. The other cake we added the Aristocats sticker on top. The little paws were not as cute or distinctive as we expected but he tried and we give him credit for that. The cake was absolutely delicious tho. It was moist and sweet and even the frosting wasn’t too overwhelming. We ordered them 10’ and OMG they looked gigantic (not complaining). The cost was...

Went on Saturday morning which MAY have contributed to everything being super fresh but either way, absolutely amazing. So many traditional favorites from Mexico.

My only issue is prices aren't marked, I was charged the same for everything, but no one mentioned even what that price would be. I didn't want to make a big deal on my first visit because I was going to buy either way but a bit of price transparency would be good....

Pumpkin Empanadas!!! I'll say it again pumpkin empanadas! My favorite Mexican bread. I haven't seen these baby's since moving to Oregon. Even in San Jose,Cali only one ONE panaderia I knew of made them this way. Some places made them with different dough or made them too sweet. These are so close to perfection. I just wish there was more filling. We are just visiting the area and will definitely grab some more...
