Read moreGreat place to skate and my daughter found herself loving being on the ice, but then a misunderstanding and a follow on argument with management had me being banned from the facility. Only place I’ve ever been treated guilty before ever hearing a word from me. Guess Military Veterans don’t get any understanding for the things they struggle with. Honorable discharge from the Army after 11 years of service didn’t mean anything to the general manager. Great guy for his staff, absolutely horrible in the PR department as he was short with me and didn’t care to hear or believe anything I had to say over an incident that was so important to a staff member, it waited 3 weeks for me to be talked to and banned from the facility. Thanks for the lack of understanding because now you didn’t hurt me, you hurt my daughter’s love of a new sport, congratulations!! She doesn’t want to go back if I can’t watch her skate. And as a single parent with no local support, I can’t get her...
Read moreThis place is awesome! I have been waiting for an ice rink to be built here and I'm so grateful that we finally have one. We moved here from Alaska last year where hockey is big and his father and grandfather were both life-long hockey players. My son is 4 years old and currently learning how to skate in the Snowplow lessons. The lessons are only 30 minute sessions on Saturdays, for 8 weeks, and the cost was $120. In my opinion, the price was a bit too expensive for this age group but I suppose all aspects of hockey are expensive. Along with the lesson package I purchased, he gets 8 free open skate sessions. The only critique I have is there are not very many options for open skate or learn-to-skate and most of the ice time is given to figure skating. But I'm very grateful that this awesome family built our community a rink, and even though it's in Reno, it's in South Reno off of the Mt. Rose exit so it's a breeze getting there...
