The Reno Ice Rink is a perfect community activity and a fantastic location for both Reno and Carson City residents. This ice rink not only offers a fun recreational experience but also serves as a hub for developing ice sports skills and strategies, particularly in hockey.

One of the standout features of the Reno Ice Rink is its inclusivity. It's not just for aspiring athletes; it's a great place for free skate, where families, friends, and individuals can enjoy the thrill of gliding on ice. The facility provides a welcoming environment for people of all ages and skill levels.

For those interested in pursuing ice sports like hockey, the Reno Ice Rink is an invaluable resource. It offers a platform for individuals to hone their skills and build strategies. This serves as a breeding ground for the next generation of ice sports enthusiasts.

Moreover, the rink is strategically located, making it accessible to both Reno and Carson City residents. It plays a pivotal role in strengthening the sense of community and offers a refreshing and engaging outdoor activity, especially during the colder months.

In conclusion, the Reno Ice Rink is a win-win for the community. It's a place where everyone can enjoy ice skating and develop a passion for ice sports. It's a testament to the value of recreational facilities that bring people together, encouraging physical activity and fostering a sense of togetherness in...

Great place to skate and my daughter found herself loving being on the ice, but then a misunderstanding and a follow on argument with management had me being banned from the facility. Only place I’ve ever been treated guilty before ever hearing a word from me. Guess Military Veterans don’t get any understanding for the things they struggle with. Honorable discharge from the Army after 11 years of service didn’t mean anything to the general manager. Great guy for his staff, absolutely horrible in the PR department as he was short with me and didn’t care to hear or believe anything I had to say over an incident that was so important to a staff member, it waited 3 weeks for me to be talked to and banned from the facility. Thanks for the lack of understanding because now you didn’t hurt me, you hurt my daughter’s love of a new sport, congratulations!! She doesn’t want to go back if I can’t watch her skate. And as a single parent with no local support, I can’t get her...

This place is awesome! I have been waiting for an ice rink to be built here and I'm so grateful that we finally have one. We moved here from Alaska last year where hockey is big and his father and grandfather were both life-long hockey players. My son is 4 years old and currently learning how to skate in the Snowplow lessons. The lessons are only 30 minute sessions on Saturdays, for 8 weeks, and the cost was $120. In my opinion, the price was a bit too expensive for this age group but I suppose all aspects of hockey are expensive. Along with the lesson package I purchased, he gets 8 free open skate sessions. The only critique I have is there are not very many options for open skate or learn-to-skate and most of the ice time is given to figure skating. But I'm very grateful that this awesome family built our community a rink, and even though it's in Reno, it's in South Reno off of the Mt. Rose exit so it's a breeze getting there...

My kids have been going since the rink opened. The learn to skate program was tons of fun and now our 6 year old is into hockey! The hockey coaches are great. Mike is the head coach and sets some great ground rules for the kids early on. Our son loves the lessons and we enjoy that each week he has a chance to progress to other levels just like in the skate lessons. It was also really exciting for our son to receive a giant box with everything he could possibly need to begin hockey. He was counting down the days until team practice started. It’a amazing Reno was able to build out this rink and also setup such good programs so quickly. The whole family also has fun attending practices because the facilities are clean and now the snack bar is open too!

What is there to say… There is ice and there is hockey. It is all awesome !! Naaa … there is lots more to say. The youth programs are awesome, and the coaches are great. Whether it’s birthday parties, open skate, sled hockey (High Fives), Reno Hockey Academy or watching the Reno Ice Raiders (travel men’s Senior A hockey club) play. There is always something going on at this facility. The facility is kept clean and is maintained. Parking is plentiful but probably still not enough as it can get quite busy at times. There are lots of volunteers that make programs successful. There is a snack bar and a pro shop on site too. All in all a good time to be had and everyone is nice and helpful.
